We originally booked to stay for two nights but we extended it to three as we loved it so much. The staff were AMAZING, the food was really good and the rooms were lovely. We stayed over Christmas and they put on a special Christmas buffet and made it feel really special. We did the safari through them too and we loved it! You can also drive down the road and see elephants even on the way to the national park. Also after leaving the hotel, we had a puncture in the middle of nowhere. We called the hotel for advice and someone from reception came to help us and spent so long sorting it with us. We are soooo grateful for your kindness. To all the staff on reception and in the restaurant - THANK YOU. Your friendliness everyday made us stay for longer.

The old building is full of history, you feel like staying in a museum! I did not use the pool, but it looked very clean. The place is cluse to a busy little town, but you would not know it is there. The staff was very attentive and looked after me. This is a wonderful place to get away from the tourist bubble!

Royal Tusker Hotel in Udawalawa exceeded my expectations! The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
