the staff is polite and helpful. he was able to solve every little problem encountered. Everything was fine, the structure is a bit dated but in a good state of maintenance.

Close encounter with the deers

After staying at the Heritage Village in Vigan City, my husband and I (81 yrs old and 66 yrs old), decided to stay near the beach, this place is a very good choice- a 15 mins tricycle drive (120 pesos fare) from our hotel in Vigan. A quiet place- the bed is comfortable (I requested for 2 extra pillows at no addl charge). With hot shower, soap and shampoo, adequate cabinets to put our things, Twining's tea, teacups, and a perculator to heat water. We stayed on the ground flr, the restaurant is on the 3rd flr- could be a problem to most elderly but not with us; we're fit and used to climbing stairs back home. The price of meal at first glance could be a bit pricey but the serving is generous. If you are not a big eater, sufficient for 2-3 people. The chef himself will serve you your food...will even ask you how you like your eggs be done, etc. From the restaurant.and the terrace, you can view the farmland, many goats on the grassland, some cows and most of all- the blue ocean of the West Philippine sea. The restaurant is closed at night so for dinner, you can walk to a place near the ocean called S yard, a group of tiny restos that offer a lot of choices. The hotel has a clean pool located inside the ground of the owner's very nice home-the gate is always open if you want to have a dip. The staff is very welcoming, polite, everyone is smiling, very attentive to all of our needs. I request to clean our room everyday - I got my request all the time! We stayed here for 4 nights, I enjoyed the walk to the Sta Catalina beach each morning getting greetings from the local fishermen as they go to catch fish. Back again in the late afternoon to watch the amazing sunset, the very relaxing sound of the waves crashing on the rocks...I will surely come back Ovemar! Thank you all for your hospitality.
