The view from our room was amazing. The staff were amicable and professional. We took the boat tour on the Douro, which was relaxing and scenic. We would definitely go back again to the Octant Douro.

We loved the reception by Mrs Julia, who was very kind and friendly. She gave us tips on restaurants nearby. We also enjoyed the wineyard at the bottom of the hotel and that we were allowed to walk around at any time. The place is very calm and quiet, perfect for a escape from the city hustle and bustle. Mr Jose was also of extreme kindness setting us up with a lovely boat tour through Douro on my bday. We had just asked where we could arrange for the tour and he went all the way calling the person and helping us organize. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff was really attentive. We highly recommend a stay with them!

It is the perfect place for a family stay. The house had everything we needed to cook the food, both inside and outside. It is a quite place with a fantastic view over the vineyards and the river. Our kid enjoyed the pool area, especially when the lovely donkey Nikita came by :) The territory is well kept and the staff is polite (and even easy and interesting to speak with even if you don't speak Portuguese). Till the next time!

The location is breath taking! Anyone who is planning to go to Douro absolutely has to visit this beautiful boutique hotel! I wish we had an extra night to stay there. This property deserves more than 10 rating. Everything was so clean and the attention to details in our suite room was insane! It looks so much better in real life. Literally feels like this hotel was taken out of a catalog! The food was super good as well and the service of course was the best! Breakfast is a must! You could really see how much passion the owners have to this project.
