Our host Benedita greeted us as we got out of the car, she was forewarned by her overactive but cute dog Leia; she recruited her daughter Rachel to translate as a go-between for the check-in (thanks Rachel). We later managed very well on our own with a mixture of English, Portuguese, Spanish and a bit of French. Benedita offered us the use of her laundry room for free which we graciously accepted on the spot. You just cannot wish for a better host, we felt that we were treated like family. Thanks Benedita, please say Hello to Luke (her other dog that I wish I could take home).

In fact we didn’t stay. We looked through the window and we left. Not only there was no view but there was a construction being made in front of the window at (what seemed) one meter away. We felt walled. The owner didn’t propose a reimbursement (she felt we were being too particular) and I didn’t want to argue.

The pool was gorgeous, and the pool bar, food, drink, and staff were excellent. The grounds were amazing, it was like staying in a museum. The restaurants were delightful, the food delicious. The price for all these outstanding grounds, the room and accommodating service was incredible.

We had a wonderful experience. The common areas, facilities like the pool and playgrounds, and the private rooms were all perfect: beautifully designed and highly functional. I rarely give 10 points but they really deserve it! The garden and especially the animals are extremely cool, especially for our small son. You can take a guided tour for 20€ and it's really worth it, the variety of animals is amazing and the owner is very knowledgeable and nice. Close enough to the town center but still very calm and quiet. The apartments are also very nice.
