Maison Zarafah is one of those rare gems you may be lucky enough to come across on your travels. Tucked away on a hillside, a ten-minute easy walk up from the beach in the red-dusted sands on the Popenguine, this beautiful building sits in the middle of a walled-in lush garden with both shade and sun, a beautiful pool, and—best of all—a real sense of community, family and warm hospitality. I loved everything about this stay, especially the wonderful hosts Mame and Moussa, as well as Mia and the overall brilliant group of people who make it look effortless to make you feel at home. - Spacious, cool, comfortable rooms and giant bed - Delicious food, always freshly prepared by the chef team inquiring about exactly what you like - Such tranquility and sense of community - New, beautiful building - So well-priced and worth every penny I have stayed at other places in Popenguine and I can truly say I will never stay anywhere else again. Can't wait to be back. Jërërëf to you all!

The owner is very nice and super friendly. All the staff is very good. It is a very nice resort like setting. Close to the airport than going to Dakar especially if you are arriving late or leaving early. Bandia Reserve (safari) and Ranch De Bandia (Lions) are only 15 mins away and the return taxi is like around 23 euros. I found it much cheaper option if you plan to visit Bandia as the tours from Dakar are very expensive. They also offer airport pickup and drop off at a very reasonable price. This as my second stay at Iris and I absolutely loved it. The staff is very friendly and super helpful. The management team made sure that everything that i needed was taken care of right away. They constantly asked for feedback as to what was needed etc.... They make sure that you enjoy your stay in the best way possible. The Ocean view from my room made the trip worth it :)
