Nice and clean bathroom with lots of towels. We could use an indoor pool. The outdoor pool wasn't open, but they did open it on our request. We had a very nice view from the balcony and the window in the room. Beds were clean and comfortable. Very good blind on the window allowed me to go to bed early in a dark room. There was a small refrigerator in the room with two small bottles of water. Breakfast was amazing, everything nice, really tasty and fresh. You couldn't possibly taste it all and eat there was so much of it. We got a coffee for breakfast and then we were offered another coffee. I was also able to hire for free walking poles. The whole place, everything we've used was nice and clean.

Surrounded by a garden with a heated outdoor pool, Smart-HOTEL MINUSIO, a Swiss Quality Hotel is a 2-minute drive from the centre of Locarno and Lake Maggiore. Good facilities and practical location. The area was calm and quiet and moving around with the Ticino ticket was very easy and convenient (bus stop right around the corner). Good base for exploring Ticino, we did a lot of different trips during our stay (easy start by hopping on a bus right in from of the hotel). Short walk down to the waterfront with some restaurants, couple of supermarkets within a couple of minutes by foot. Starting the morning with a breakfast in the garden was a nice way to start the day (excellent breakfast buffet with plenty of choice, fresh fruit and local flavours). Friendly and helpful staff. During our stay, the hotel was fully booked but never felt busy or crowded, the atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed.
