Shanghai Marriott Marquis City Centre offers amenities and guest service in a downtown location within around a 5-minute walk from East Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and People’s Square subway hub... Location was within walking distance to the Bund. There was western food options right next door (Subway, McDonalds, KFC) and plenty of shopping nearby. The staff were particularly helpful, especially Tony and Zak. I've stayed at Marriot Hotels around the world - and this one definitely lives up to expectations. Rooms are a good size, with very good bathrooms, plenty of closet space and attentive staff. Conference rooms are conveniently located, and the food/service was great.

I would definitely stay here again with my family.

There are 2 dining options on site. There is a signature Japanese restaurant YONE on the 27th floor and a brasserie style all-day dining restaurant Shanghai Tavern, 3 lounge bars and 2 rooftop bars. Staff is fantastic! Kind and really helpful!! Room amazing! Japanese restaurant stunning! Loved everything!! 10/10
