It's a good base for exploring Bavaria and the Austrian border isn't too far for seeing places like Salzburg and Hallstatt as well. Good value for money.

We were with a group of friends, we went on bike tours in the area. The accommodation is excellent, comfortable and clean, with spacious rooms. The area is quiet, ideal also for families with small children. We especially liked the sauna and pool. In addition, there is even a small cinema room on the site! The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was delicious.

This traditional guest house offers free Wi-Fi, a sun terrace, spa facilities, a fruit/vegetable garden and free parking. It is centrally located in the Bavarian health resort of Reit am Winkl. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel decor was amazing and they provided so many lovely unexpected touches - cozy seating areas on the front porch, self service beverages (wine, beer etc), mats for shoes outside rooms for wet boots etc, offering to carry our luggage upstairs. And the breakfast buffet offered more than I expected - wurstsalat and so much more. I wish we were staying longer than 1 night! Also, the location was great - easy to walk all around town.

Beautifully refurbished rooms, super kind and welcoming staff and a very delicious breakfast. Hot drinks and tea are available through a machine for free at any time of day, and some pastries or petit fours could be found in the afternoon and even throughout the evening. We enjoyed the two saunas (one at 60°C and another at 90°C) which were very relaxing after a day on the piste at the very close ski resort Winklmoosalm / Steinplatte. Also the balcony of the room was a very nice place to catch some fresh air and enjoy the mountain scenery and the thousand stars at night. Parking was available, and many delicious restaurants are very close by. We couldn’t have been happier and are happy to recommend this place!
