The historic and traditional 4-star BERG & SPA HOTEL GABELBACH is surrounded by a 7-hectare park in the middle of the Thuringian Forest. Beautiful, isolated location. Very close to mountain hiking. Comfortable rooms and nice decor inside and out. Lovely green with lounge chairs. Almost all guests were Germans. Very good breakfast and nice restaurant for dinner. I didn’t get to the spa. The sauna opens in the afternoon.

Very nice! Very clean! And very friendly people! My daughter wasn't feeling very well due to road sickness. And when the staff noticed they were very helpful and kind. Small things count so much. We stopped for one night at this hotel just to rest from our long road trip, but we could easily spend our vacation here.
