The room was gorgeous, very modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, with a selection of cereals to choose from, fresh fruit and breakfast cooked to order. Great location, and lots of parking in the church across the road if the guest spots are taken. Would highly recommend Glencree to anyone looking for a stay in Windermere.

There is also a guest lounge with a log fire and lake views. Everything was good the room the view the staff.

Beautiful location, really cute kitchen, spacious bedroom, lovely modern bathroom. Would definitely recommend. Spa isn't on site but only 5 mins drive away. Great pool and sauna.

The spa and wellness centre includes a sauna, hot tub, fitness centre and public bath. John, the owner, was very kind and available when we needed him. The house is really big and it has everything you may possibly need for your stay. The place was also clean and close to many shops, restaurants, and other fabulous villages! We are a couple with four small children and we definitely felt at home!

Holly Lodge Guest House with FREE off site health club offers free use of an offsite Health club, where you can use the swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and gym. This is 1.5 miles away. Everything was perfect! The location was great for us, close to train station and just 20-30 min walk from Bowness (closer if you take the bus) and close to trails we wanted to do and to buses that take you to Grasmere/Ambleside etc. We spend 4 days hiking around and it was perfectly located. Breakfast was really complete and delicious with different options to choose. Room was spacious, clean and luminous with everything you could need. The staff was fantastic, the owners sent us detailed information on restaurants and trails around before the stay that was really useful and appreciated. I travelled with my sister and just to say that we will choose the same place to stay if we come back to the lakes.

The leisure spa at The Quaysiders Lakes Resort - Quaysiders Club has a small heated pool, a sauna and showers. There is also a barbecue area and laundry facilities available. They left the keys and instructions in a safer box outside of the building because I arrived too late
