From the moment we arrived, the staff was so helpful and welcoming: complete with a welcome glass of port at reception and a beautiful cheese plate awaiting us in our room with a handwritten note of welcome. All the spaces are colorful, well designed and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing, and the garden setting is just so lush and stunning--even in February. We ate at the hotel restaurant the first night and it was delicious, as was the complimentary bottle of wine. While our room was on the smaller side, it was well appointed and our own private terrace made it so much more spacious. From interior design, outdoor pool and garden, to the yoga studio space and hotel staff, and all the little details and perks, everything was amazing and I would return to Lisbon just to stay here!

We only used the kitchen for breakfast, but it seemed to have everything you need for 2 people. We had chosen an apartment with a terrace, which was absolutely wonderful. Actually even nicer than on the picture. Safety is great - with a 24 hour manned reception and the doors to each apartment are super safe. Housekeeping was great. The rooms were sparkling clean and looked after every day. Staff at the front desk were remarkably friendly and helpful, e.g. tips for restaurants and other places to see. The location is very good - you each every place in the city centre by foot. Alternatively the Metro station is just around the corner.

Áurea Museum by Eurostars Hotel Company is a unique 5-star property situated on the banks of the Tagus River, in a historic building in Lisbon's iconic Alfama quarter. The hotel features a permanent archaeological exhibition, as well as modern facilities, like an indoor pool, restaurant, massage room and Turkish bath. As a history buff, the best part of this hotel was that there was a museum with Roman ruins right inside! The location was perfect, within walking distance of many of the best restaurants, shops, and museums. We didn't have breakfast included so only had it twice but both times it was delicious and plentiful, with many selections. The staff was great as well, especially Bruno who was so helpful throughout our stay!
