- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 700 reviewsCertainly one of the most wonderful hotels I've ever been! It's located close to the center of Izola - a car is not needed (nor recommended) to visit it. From the back entry, the Dolphin Beach is just a few steps away. It's a rocky shore, but there are several stairs into the water. The inside pool is filled with salty water, which is great. Italy is not far away, you can see Trieste across the sea. In the town, everbody seems to be able to speak Italian. The vew from the balcony is outstanding.Guest review bySven Boris SchreiberGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 6,638 reviewsChildren loved the pool area and the accessibility to the beach, the room was spacious and clean, the staff was extremely polite, the room and the terrace had a great sea view without any additional charges, the hotel is right on the beach. The food was delicious and the offer for different types of food was great, the hotel has own parking. It does not have airconditioning in the room but this did not bother a bit! We will come back next year! Every recommendation!Guest review byMiricAustria
- From $330.70 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 2,881 reviewsAll of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool and kids club was perfect for the kids. I recommend this hotel if you are travelling with children, because there are lots of activities for them and great staff that keep them entertained. Great location right on the beach. I advise going for a room in the newer section of the hotel, since the rooms are modern and up to date.Guest review byTerryCanada

I'd like to that Laura (host/receptionist) for being positively sneaky by booking us a room right next to our family that was also staying in the hotel (we did not make any plans beforehand).Guest review byAndrejCroatia

We stayed there 2 nights, could have done 3 or 4 to be less rushed. Overall its a great (but busy) little town. Lots to do and see there, we loved our visit. The palace is under much repair so it just wasnt the best timing for us.Guest review byRichardPanama - 10.0

Old Town was amazing even though we weren’t able to climb all the steep stairs up to the Old Fort that also offered no shade from the blistering sun (mid-80’s while there). There are plentiful and wonderful restaurant choices and lots and lots of little shops to explore. Taking the boat to visit the three local islands wasn’t worth the money and wish we had gone to Lokrum Island instead. The Funicular/gondola was well worth it.Guest review byMichaelCanada - 10.0
Free local parking. Everywhere accessible.
Free local parking. Everywhere accessible. But parking near the old town can be challenging. Ubers very good value. Particularly liked Rosmarino Restaurant in old town. Delicious food and wine. Fosa in a great location but restaurant is very pricey. Zadar a safe city and people friendly and helpful. Our host family were charming.Guest review byHilaryIreland - 10.0

Budva is just a beautiful town surrounded by large mountains with the Adriatic sea at the base. There is a vibrant night scene, especially on Saturday night, but also a nice, quiet scene with great restaurants. It is walkable. The people are friendly. The Old Town is just fabulous with many shops and restaurants. The beaches are great - we loved Mongren II the best. We had traveled for several weeks prior to coming to Budva and because there were not cruise ships, it made it so nice to walk around. Not saying there were not a lot of people and tourists, but did not seem as crowded. Looking down on the town from our fabulous location called Apartment Inspiration, it was stunning to see the large mountain peaks, the Old Town, the clear, colorful water of the Adriatic. It almost did not seem real.Guest review byjacqueUnited States - 10.0

Durres is a city of contrast from the Roman ampitheater to the beach, pool and shopping. Tasting the fresh fish from one of the seafront restaurants is a must but make sure you also fill up on byrek and sufflaqe! Pelikan has lots of amazing cakes for sweet treats, Tropikal resort has an amazing pool you can use for the day (1000leke) and the market is a hidden gem for bargains. The bus from the beach at Plepa along to the city Center gets VERY busy but for 40leke saves the stress of driving and trying to park and everywhere is then just a short walk. We love Durres and will be back.Guest review byLucieUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Fabulous place to visit, as well as the region of Istria.
Fabulous place to visit, as well as the region of Istria. Full of history, dating back to Roman times. Lovely nearby beaches, plenty of cultural events and fine food. Close to Northern Italy and boat trips to / from Venice and Trieste are worth taking.Guest review byKsenijaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Very nice city, with wonderful old town and nice beaches.
Very nice city, with wonderful old town and nice beaches. The restaurants are good as well, and anybody can find something to pass the time. The nightlife is very active, there are many oppurtinites to have a party. Who is looking for a more quiet holiday, they should consider book their aparment away from the city center. The beaches are good but sometimes overcrowded. If you plan to visit other places in Istria, Porec is a good "home base". Everything is 50-70km away.Guest review byÁdámHungary - 10.0

We visited Sept.13-20. We're Canadians. Great weather. Felt safe. Lots of tourists, lots of street life (including different types of live music), friendly vibes, easy walking around Old Town, lots of restaurants, fantastic fresh food, swimming in Adriatic was fantastic (bring/buy water shoes for rocky beaches).Guest review byGeorgeCanada - 8.0

The Cable car with shuttle bus service included was a highlight for us. The old town is beautiful though busy if multiple cruise ships are in. Be prepared for delays getting through town due to volume of traffic and hence any bus timetables are unreliable,Guest review byMARKUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A small, charming town filled with tourists, restaurants, and shops. I’d recommend spending a day and a half to truly take in the atmosphere and history. Consider hiring a guide or using a quality audio tour for a brief but informative overview.Guest review byAlexandraUnited States
