Sarande is not very clean & there are a lot of half constructed hotels everywhere. The promenade has many tacky bars, a strip club & amusements along it. Aesthically it does not present well. The whole town lacks charm. There are too many beach clubs you have to pay to enter which makes the town feel like a wannabe Ibiza. Ksamil – charm, contrasts & cats 🐾 Ksamil is a wonderful place with stunning beaches, delicious food, and 24/7 shops. The locals are warm and friendly, and cats are literally everywhere, adding even more charm to the town. The unique architectural style and Albania’s contrasts make it truly fascinating. Plazhi Bovës and the surrounding forest is awesome. Sad it's full of trash. The peninsula with the monastery and the abandoned bunkers were amazing. Durres is a city of contrast from the Roman ampitheater to the beach, pool and shopping. Tasting the fresh fish from one of the seafront restaurants is a must but make sure you also fill up on byrek and sufflaqe! Pelikan has lots of amazing cakes for sweet treats, Tropikal resort has an amazing pool you can use for the day (1000leke) and the market is a hidden gem for bargains. The bus from the beach at Plepa along to the city Center gets VERY busy but for 40leke saves the stress of driving and trying to park and everywhere is then just a short walk. Very cozy little town, amazing mountains. Has everything you need. Several grocery stores. Nice people, program options, hiking, crystal clear water everywhere, free beach, sunbeds if you want. Drymades beach town is only worth visiting for the beach - which is amazing. Smallpeeble beach with clear clean water. Noting to see og do in the besch area. Only restaurants, minimarkets and beachbars. No shops or small streets. The restaurants are in general overpriced compared to other areas in Albania and the food and service does not follow the high prices. After almost 2,000 km traveled by car in nearly 30 hours due to countless traffic jams, we managed to arrive home without other problems, but of course extremely tired—yet with beautiful memories, to which you also contributed with your kindness and the valuable advice you gave us. We learned, with your help, that Albania is a beautiful country, still in a period of reconstruction, full of wonderful and hardworking people, always ready to help you with everything they can. But perhaps the most important thing is that they have not forgotten that Romanians and Albanians have been, and still are, brothers. We are connected by both past and present. The first thing that surprised us about our host was the outstanding cleanliness we found inside the apartment. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with absolutely everything necessary, air conditioning in every room as well as in the kitchen, clean bed sheets, immaculate white towels, etc. It has happened to me to stay in luxury hotels and not find this level of perfection. About the hosts, we have only words of praise. Even before our arrival, they checked if we were all right, if anything had happened, and during our entire stay they were always there for us—at any hour—through WhatsApp and even through Mr. Nardi himself coming to the apartment in person, even though they live quite a distance away. We were pleasantly surprised that we even had free sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach. At our departure, they even offered to help us if we needed anything. The owner was very responsive. The apartment had everything from kitchenware to WiFi ,free parking and quiet area. It is very close to Vlora city and Rradhima. The closest beach is 2-minutes driving, or 7-10 minutes waking.Guest review byAnonymous - 4.0

The owners seemed to make the effort to provide with help and assistance, despite the lack of quality in the aspects below. For the price you pay in high season which was 45 EUR per night, of course you don't expect luxury, but some basics should be in place: - 1st of all, the photos used in Booking.com were all from the 2nd building they manage, and don't correspond with the room booked at least on 50%. - the power plugs were a hazard to be aware(when you're travelling with a toddler). - the electric stove provided was almost at half meter height, a constant danger for toddlers. - the air con could be put on only by plugging in the plug and it was configured to the coldest temperature, very annoying to deal with it during the night. - hygiene could've improved: closet was dirty on the top, full of dust, the bathroom super-small. - when I asked for a sponge and dishwashing lotion, the owner told me that I was the 1st ever to ask for that. Qeparo is a charming little village with a lovely "shetitore" (promenade) perfect for evening walks along the beach. The village stretches along the coast, offering breathtaking views and crystal-clear waters, though you'll need to walk a few steps to reach the shore. We had no trouble finding a sunbed without reservations, and the food was delicious and fairly priced—highly recommend restaurants Poseidon and Te Stefi! The only downside was the lack of trash bins along the promenade, which left the walking path a bit messy. This is definitely an area that could be improved.
