I recently had the pleasure of staying at Olivia's Hill in Durres and it was an exceptional experience. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. The rooms were great, spacous and very clean providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The pool area was a highlight, offering a tranquil oasis to unwind. The location was good and quiet. Olivia's Hill provided a perfect blend of comfort, relaxation, and outstanding hospitality. We enjoyed every moment during our stay and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Durres. Note: This review is based on my personal experience and reflects my honest opinion.

Phenomenonal staff - from the reception and restaurant staff to the cleaners and manager. It was evident they work well as a team and love to serve their guests. I felt so welcomed and appreciated. It is an extremely clean (and smells clean!) hotel, very comfortsble bed, all in-room amenities (including small refigerator), rooftop restaurant with excellent food and service, good full breakfast, multilingual staff, conveniently located to many sites and amenities (grocery stores, bakery, shopping, etc.).It will be my first choice the next time I visit Durrës.

The accommodation at Zart Hotel was very comfortable. The location was very central and easy to find. The entrance and everything was well lighted and modern and the room we chose with jacuzzi was a miracle with the view from the window. The host host was very kind and helpful. The hygiene was 10/10. The location was great right in the centre of everything one would want, sight seeing, restaurants, cafes etc. The hosts were very accommodating. The place was very modern with all the lovely facilities inside the room. The breakfast was very nice catering for our needs as vegetarians. They served lovely fresh orange, apple juice squeezed right in front of you. In fact the breakfast was more than adequate with varieties. The coffee was great.

Each meal was a delightful experience, with a variety of delicious dishes that catered to all tastes. The attention to detail and quality of the ingredients were evident in every bite. The facilities at Villa Pascucci are top-notch. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The amenities available, including the pool and spa, were excellent and added to the overall relaxation and enjoyment of our stay. Repeated everyday... 7/10 Location Near the beach. Near the main drag for restaurants and bars. Near mini markets Beach Beach towels.... €10 deposit Private beach... Sun beds and parasol. Just need letter from reception You can hire bikes or electric scooters for €10 = 3 hrs Not a 4 star European but still a very good hotel

    We met wonderful hosts and staff at Dollari Hotel. Extremely friendly and always available for any questions. The food in the restaurant is phenomenal as is the staff. A large selection of food where you won't be able to find fault. When that good food is served by smiling staff who speak excellent English and Italian, you cannot leave this hotel/restaurant without a smile on your face. I'm sure that we will meet them again.

    The location is unbeatable. The view is spectacular. The room was very large and bright, with a nice seating area. The balcony was also great. We had booked a Comfort Double Room. I don’t know how the other rooms are, but ours was great and we would book the same room if we were to come again. A strong 10.

    Durres is a city of contrast from the Roman ampitheater to the beach, pool and shopping. Tasting the fresh fish from one of the seafront restaurants is a must but make sure you also fill up on byrek and sufflaqe! Pelikan has lots of amazing cakes for sweet treats, Tropikal resort has an amazing pool you can use for the day (1000leke) and the market is a hidden gem for bargains. The bus from the beach at Plepa along to the city Center gets VERY busy but for 40leke saves the stress of driving and trying to park and everywhere is then just a short walk. We love Durres and will be back.

    This is perfect for its purpose!

    This is perfect for its purpose! A clean, comfy bed to catch some sleep before a flight. We could return our car, walk to Rinas to sleep and walk to the airport in the early morning. It worked out perfectly. Safe, clean & our bed was actually the most comfortable we had in our 2 weeks in Albania.

    Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal.

    Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal. One day is sufficient to see what there is to experience. I stayed an extra day because I had work to do online. Be warned, this is a mountain down so you will be doing a lot of up and downhill walking. Reconsider if you have mobility issues.

    Very beautiful beach, clean air surrounded by pine trees, family oriented, a lot of fresh and testy quality local food. Outstanding sunrise and sunset. The best I have ever seen so far. I would recommend to have options of water activities for the families and the kids even though there is plenty of ground activities available.

    We had to drive, but it wasn't a problem for us. We discovered some really nice local bars and restaurants. Duka Wine Estate is definitely recommended, just a 10-minute drive away! Lej & Laj, we'll definitely be back!

    The people were all friendly, lots of bars and restaurants. Try to take plenty local currency, or Euros. Lots of places are cash only and the banks fees are up to 20%. The old town is lovely. The promenade is made for walking. Miles long.

    If you’re seeking nightlife or a highly developed tourist infrastructure, it’s better to stay closer to the city center or in Ksamil. Albania is not just a tourist destination; it is a living history of resilience. After decades of isolation, poverty, and deep wounds, its people are working with incredible strength to build a better future, brick by brick. Its beaches are a gift, its nature is wild and pure, but its most precious asset is its people: warm, humble, and courageous. Visiting Albania is not just about traveling; it is about witnessing a real transformation. Today I want to invite you to give this country, which is being reborn with dignity and hope, a chance. Albania deserves to be seen, felt, and embraced.

    Lovely and clean place.

    Lovely and clean place. Though quite small, there's plenty to explore - picturesque Bazaar under the castle with loads of lovely souvenirs where everyone is sure to find something to their taste and budget. Pretty restaurants and places of accommodation. Small shops but well stocked with things you might need. Shop owners and people working in restaurants speak decent English and the menus are available in both Albanian and English. The grounds of Krujë Castle don't seem to be large but there's a lot to explore and admire. You can walk among the romantic ruins, relax and enjoy the vista. If you venture out in the countryside, you can walk in olive groves among grazing sheep, goats and cows and if you are lucky, you can meet a local riding a donkey. If you love hiking, there's Krujë mountain. The best thing about Krujë is undoubtedly its location with stunning views - and that was what we loved the most about the place!

    We were not directly in the city but near the beach of San Pietro.Our place was beautiful , clean with a nice long beach. I would not recommend the city itself for accommodation due to dirty beach with a not very nice smell during our visit. I definitely recommend going further south or outside the city. There are still beautiful hotels and the city itself is very nice

    I loved our stay here.

    I loved our stay here. The beach is great - clean, not too busy as locals go there and only 1 or 2 hotels on the coast, so not overloaded by tourists like some European destinations. Beautiful beach, warm sea. Just perfect.
