So lush and green - a large space full of grass, trees, birds chirping. Many caravans are parked in the compound. There are also regular parking spots for the guests of the hotel or tree houses. We took a hotel room. It is not large, but clean, and has the basic facilities. An advantage is that the water in the resort are drinkable. The price is affordable, although breakfast is not included. However, there is an excellent restaurant in the resort; it is open from morning till late evening and has a variety of food - fresh, tasty and for low prices and very good service. There is also a minimarket and laundry services inside the resort. Bear in mind, though, that the staff do not freshen up the room or supply clean towels unless you explicitly ask the staff to do it ... The resort offers a daily boat tour to Komani lake and Shala river, which includes lunch and a minibus transportation from the resort and back - recommended.Guest review byDANIELIsrael

This time I saw Shkodra with different eyes.
This time I saw Shkodra with different eyes. The city’s diversity of people and cultural mix stood out strongly, and over the weekend the lively atmosphere of parties gave it an energetic spirit. What touched me most, however, were the Catholic churches scattered around the city. Stepping into them gave me a profound sense of spirituality and peace, balancing the vibrant social scene outside. We stayed at a guesthouse in the mountains about a 10 minute drive from the main village. We did really enjoy being outside of the village as it was a bit crowded and littered. We did have a rental car and felt it was nice to have but there were taxis and group vans all over the main parking lot in Theth to take travelers to different popular hiking spots like The Blue Eye. If you do rent a car, a smaller car is better as the mountain roads are not very wide. This was our favorite spot in Albania. It's secluded and personal and the staff was exceptional. Mark had us laughing the whole time and Sando kept us entertained with Raki and stories of Albania. We sat on the floating dock at night and saw every star in the sky. They took us to the beach for the day and we skipped rocks and swam in the freezing water under the hot sun. There was plenty to do at the beach, including zip lining, a DJ, bars, and more. I'd go back in a heartbeat. I'll never forget the friends we made there!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

It was the first time to be in Velipoje. It's not a big city but I am positively surprised. The Velipoja beach (where we were placed) was clean, the water was so clear and warm. Theth is scenic and beautiful, and the hiking in the area is wonderful. But as a village that is new to the tourism industry, it needs to decide what it wants to be - a destination for the outdoor-loving hiker, or one for loud thumping-music-loving weekenders. The hotel is close to the beach, which was great. The pool was small but clean, and my son really enjoyed it. Breakfast was OK, and there are small shops nearby, along with parking available. I would have rated this 5 stars if it weren't for one issue: the cooking utensils. Reviews we read of Shkoder said it's a university town with lots of biking. Not sure what those reviewers were writing about, but there weren't many bike friendly areas and the town was not as vibrant as we expected. We did spend some time in the Shiroka area on the lake a 10 minute or so drive from Shkoder and that was very nice - good restaurants and lake activities.
