Our first stay didn’t start well as the lady who spoke no English wanted her $70 before we got shown to the room. Then the room had a portable air con that had a hose out the door and had to be unplugged to close the door so no air con. As we were only there for a few hours it was fine. Had to leave at 3 am and Antonio was up and ready for us. Made transition smooth. Second time a month later was much better as room although crowded had air and was comfortable. Vicente Lopez is a province (bairro/suburb we may say) well served by train and several buses. A very easy place to get around. There are lots of restaurants and bares for lunch, happy hours and dining's and great parks. We had 3 nights in Buenos Aires on our way to Santiago and it was fantastic, the hotel was amazing, the views of the city, especially at night were fantastic, such a vibrant, lively city. Lots of bars and restaurants everywhere, the docs area was fantastic also! If you’re going to go, then you MUST do a day trip to Uruguay on the ferry and a hop on / hop off bus tour of Santiago city, making sure you get off in La Boca!!
