Though we didn't have the opportunity to eat there, the restaurant was very smartly presented and was bustling with locals. It was a really pleasant stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

My grandparents came to the United States from Illmitz, Austria. I enjoyed seeing the village. I stayed at Johannes Zech Hotel and visited with Rudy Karlo at Landgasthauf Karlo. Both of theses places have excellent hotels and restaurants. Also, I went to Podersdorf where I saw Neuseidler See. Eisenstadt was the biggest city I visited in Burgenland.

We ate at the Hotel Burgenland......it was great! We really enjoyed Esterhazy as well. We had the tour there and it was informative and fun. We learned some things about Haydn that we didn't know before!

We travel a lot, but perhaps never before have we stayed in a place that so practically translates its credo: “Welcome Home”. The caring environment we faced at every point made every moment truly home. The very kind staff at the reception, in the restaurants - host person, servers and chefs -, in the bars and in the spa area; the pianist gentleman; the room preparation; Peter who helped with the car hire; all showed a kindness rarely seen in life or in the hotel industry. The breakfast is great. There’s plenty of options to pick from. Everything was tasty and fresh. The staff at the hotel is very friendly. The building is right off a beautiful part of the lake. I highly recommend this place to families with kids. They even have a secluded play area at the restaurant, where parents can eat while the kids play without annoying other guests, which saves you the awkwardness that comes with that.
