The hotel is great.
The hotel is great. Located quite high and therefore needs some time to drive up the mountain. Not much to do around the hotel itself, but the facilities in it offer a relaxed evening indoors. Beautiful surroundings. A great place for summer hiking. With the Hockönig card you receive at the hotel's reception, you can use all the cable cars in the area, enjoy the beautiful views, savour the local cuisine, and get some exercise. Maria Alm, shall be connected with other Ski areas in the region - the skipass Hochkoenig is more expensive and offers nothing spectacular apart of the fact that you can also use the ski areas 150 km away (but who cares ???) I was very dissapointed that Saalbach / Hinterglem / Leogang and Maria alm are so close but you have to buy separate skipasses . That is nothing you expect. In my opinion it is a big a disadvantage.
