The city is very nice, clean and offers a lot of possibilities (both for culture and nature) and good connection to Vienna and other beautiful places like Melk. We would love to come back. Our main complaint is that basically all supermarkets are closed on Sundays. Some of our favorite places were the Flederhaus and the Musik- und Kunstschule St. Pölten (see photos attached). The hotel was very clean and organized. The check in service via hotelomat was very convenient, fast, and efficient - for those who speak the languages indicated on it. I was wondering how would my mom manage if she arrived alone in midnight? In the morning the personnel was there, nice and smiling. This would be a lovely hotel for those that enjoying cycling or hiking on the area. The rooms are comfortable and very quiet as well as the hospitality of the staff and the breakfast are exceptionally wonderful. Melk is a charming, quiet town where I would return as many times as possible. Melk Abbey is extremely imposing, beautiful and full of history. It is a must visit. The Abbey gardens are also splendid. Walking around the town or on the banks of the Danube is a pleasure. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes. Destination is suitable for Wachau location, not far to Melk, however far from road noise. The Abbey visit deserve more than one hour, in order to dedicate time for a stroll in the gardens; a plus if you know German, as part of the explanation are not translated.
