The city is very nice, clean and offers a lot of possibilities (both for culture and nature) and good connection to Vienna and other beautiful places like Melk. We would love to come back. Our main complaint is that basically all supermarkets are closed on Sundays. Some of our favorite places were the Flederhaus and the Musik- und Kunstschule St. Pölten (see photos attached). The hotel was very clean and organized. The check in service via hotelomat was very convenient, fast, and efficient - for those who speak the languages indicated on it. I was wondering how would my mom manage if she arrived alone in midnight? In the morning the personnel was there, nice and smiling. This is a nice and quiet place, if you are looking for just sleepin in. It offers parking, is modern/likely new and it offers very good breakfast. I enjoyed it in the end, despite I wasn’t thinking of sleeping in a ... gas station! This would be a lovely hotel for those that enjoying cycling or hiking on the area. The rooms are comfortable and very quiet as well as the hospitality of the staff and the breakfast are exceptionally wonderful. Melk is a charming, quiet town where I would return as many times as possible. Melk Abbey is extremely imposing, beautiful and full of history. It is a must visit. The Abbey gardens are also splendid. Walking around the town or on the banks of the Danube is a pleasure. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes.
