The breakfast was tasty and the staff working in the hotel very nice and helping (we needed to store our luggage both upon our arrival and departure and the staff helped us with that). The location was splendid, with a waterfall next to the hotel (which you cannot hear in the hotel), a nice path behind the hotel with amazing views. I hope I have a chance to visit this hotel again.

Checkout was easy and imformative about travel options as we continued our journey. Overall, very good lodging and we will return! Note: there is currently construction occuring at neighboring building, so there is some noise and groinds are somewhat messy, but we looked beyond that and accept that as just temporary.

The i assume owner/manager was also very kind to come pick us up from the train station when no taxi wanted to come. Id def recommend especially considering the price

Family-run since 1654, Hotel-Gasthof Maria Plain enjoys a quiet location surrounded by meadows and forests, only 250 metres from the pilgrimage church of Maria Plain and a 10-minute drive from Salzburg. Free WiFi is available. The location is excellent to avoid the crowded city center of Salzburg, but still in near distance (7-9 min by car). Very good value of money. Breakfast is abundant & excellent. The staffs are very polite & very helpful. Strongly recommended.
