Loved walking the Parish Trail (Pfarrerbichl) with scenic views of the town and lake (and religious interest if so inclined). Nanni’s had a delicious goulash & apple strudel; Cafe Nouveau had a spicier goulash, even better! Batzenhäus had great local food. Beautiful, quiet area perfect for a peaceful getaway for a few days of hiking. The gorge is beautiful, it’s close to Mittenwald, and there are many hikes and biking trails in the area. There are a few restaurants and super markets but you will likely need a car to get around comfortably—although there is a bus that goes regularly. We had a good stay in house Panorama sunday. But there are some things I like to recommend. The big bed makes allot of noise! That if I move I wake my wife. Also is the power point in the bathroom very dangerous! Specially if there are kids around. Because it's loose. In de kitchen it's very hard to open de refrigerator. And the are not much pans to cook. So if I pay that much for 1 night. I aspect it to be better. The house is very nice decorated they have good tasted. It has allot of space en the bethrooms are big. We only stay for one night to travel back home. We stayed with 2 childeren (2&4) and to aldults. Have been is Seefeld 3 times until now, twice in winter and once is summer. Excellent place for vacation or short stay. Hotels and facilities are modern, mainly built in 1960's for Innsbruck Olympics. Seefeld has cross-country skiing and big warm open pool if compare to other surrounding resorts. Leutasch is one of the best locations for cross-country skiing. You can ski right out your door and on a new trail every day. Some trails are so wonderful you'll want to repeat them. There is a supermarket and gear rental shops in the village. There is really everything you need there. A full range of Alpine experience, from hiking to train rides through the countryside. Built on a plateau, everywhere is within easy walking distance, and there are e-bikes to rent for a day. Village and mountan hostelries offer a wide range of eating experience and plenty of opportunity to enjoy traditional Austrian dishes, including an exquisite Applestrudel. The village is steeped in history, yet maintains a modern feel in shops. Most of the village centre is pedestrianised, offering stress-free ambles while samping the village ambience. During a 4-day stay, we were treated to a public rendition from a brass band, and wandered the Tuesday morning market full of local fare. Bus connections to all surroundings - Seefeld, Mittenwald, Scharnitz - and very often. Lots of hiking places for everybody. A wonderful area if you are a bike lover. Friends Streetfood is a good place to have a quick meal.
