- From $187.68 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 912 reviewsWe stayed in an ocean view studio apartment. The view was to die for overlooking the beach and the town. I enjoyed a morning walk each day on the esplanade. There is a short steep hill to get back to the unit, but easy enough to cope with, and then into the beautifly located pool that also overlooks the water. The room had a small but fully equiped kitchen. All staff were super friendly and helpful. We will definately be going back for another visit.Guest review byKerriAustralia

Rockhampton Botanic Gardens incorporates a zoo.
Rockhampton Botanic Gardens incorporates a zoo. Entry to both is free. The gardens are extensive and very beautiful. There is a very nice cafe with tables under huge banyan trees which I enjoyed (excellent cappuccino). I also loved the zoo which contains a range of animals (mainly "rescue" animals). There are informative talks scheduled throughout the day. I was able to get close to many animals - my favourites were the cassowary, the dingoes, the emus, the wedge-tailed eagle and the funny little meercats. Unfortunately, I only had time to spend one day in the gardens. The tourist information office was very helpful. They gave me a bus timetable and a brochure about the area of Heritage buildings in the centre of town along the river. I enjoyed looking at the buildings and learning about their history. I also loved the art exhibition about Queensland in Rockhampton Art Gallery. I enjoyed my stay in Rockhampton very much.Guest review bySylviaAustralia - 6.0
I go to Bundaberg about once a month.
I go to Bundaberg about once a month. Mainly for shopping, banking and medical appointments. And in the last 4 year's the traffic is horrendous. A lot of inconsiderate driver's. Harder to get parking spot's in the main part of town . And the parking lot's of only 10 min's is ridiculous. Parked there to use an ATM. No ATMs working . It makes you stress out. And they want a cashless society, I hope not. But Bundaberg have their nice spot's, so it's not all bad. We had dinner at Sang's Asian Fusion, a lovely restaurant, good food and lovely service. always eat there or order from there when we stay in Bundaberg.Guest review byRosalind - 10.0

Gladstone has so many beautiful parks walks and water fronts to spend your time in. A large variety of restaurants and plenty of shops and things to do. The nightlife also doesn’t disappoint, there are quite a few venues to choose from to go for a dance, an evening meal or to sit for a few drinks with live music. The locals were all very polite and friendly and helpful, it’s a very family friendly city and we think has a lot to offer.Guest review bysabrinaAustralia - 10.0

Bargara is small and very laid back. it is easy to drive around and not a lot of traffic. We enjoyed coffee at Rick's cafe in the heart of Bargara. We aso enjoyed having lunch at the Bargara Bowling Club. On another occasion we took outselves over to Burnett Heads where we enjoyed the local fish and chips around the Marina. We love walking and Bargara certainly is the place to do lots of enjoyable walks especially alongside the beachfront. The walking paths, along with plenty of seating and restrooms have been well organised by the local council. Cannot wait to return net year.Guest review byJenniferAustralia - 10.0

Beautiful spot and wonderful beaches, surf side and the estuary. Good costal walks both sides. Not a lot of shopping, but a good variety of outlets with good food. Well stocked supermarkets. Must checkout the Gelato shop and Rusty Pelican (fish N chips) 1770Guest review byRJAustralia - 8.0

Barcaldine is a wonderful place, wonderful history and great pride in the town. People ovbviously care about the town. I felt welcomed there. I particularly like the water ski area. It's a great asset to have. It was great to walk around the town and see so much of the history of the area. Thankyou Barcaldine.Guest review byGrahamAustralia - 10.0
A friendly town with all the essentials.
A friendly town with all the essentials. Easy place to drive in. Close to Mackay. The local airport is small by efficient. Mackay airport is only 2 hours away. The Moranbah Coles is large and everything is fresh. The local bakery is brilliant. The vibe is easy going, relaxed and friendly.Guest review byBambi1990Australia
