I have Visited Dubbo a few times .
I have Visited Dubbo a few times . Great cafes ,good food , Zoo is well worth a visit . the old Goal worth a visit as well as Aviation museum at Narromine . I like to drive around the new areas & see how the city is growing . Would be a great place to live with lots of services and new factories and businesses opening up .Guest review bypeterAustralia - 6.0
A quintessential Australian country town.
A quintessential Australian country town. A lot of money from the 19th century gold rush but a loss of people to the major capitals has had an obvious impact on the people and the businesses. A Saturday night in winter was death by boredom but I'm sure the racing weekends bring a lot of money into the town. Be warned, this is a meat town! Steaks were large and tasty. Would return for the meat alone.Guest review byRichardAustralia - 10.0
So much to see and do in Orange.
So much to see and do in Orange. The wineries were lovely, plenty of eateries and lovely shops. We did a Trike ride tour which was very informative and so much fun. Could definitely recommend a visit.Guest review byKerryAustralia - 10.0
Loved the variety of shops .
Loved the variety of shops . Especially Krystie’s Boutique-unique great access and beautifully presented. Loved lunching at the wineries. The people we came in contact with were very friendly. Would definitely visit againGuest review byPamAustralia - 8.0
It was an interesting place to visit. Elvis theme suburb.
It was an interesting place to visit. Elvis theme suburb. Motor Museum is a definite place to visit. Also, the dam park, The Thirsty Bushman Cafe, unique as it is placed in front of an antique train. Another place to visit while here is the Memorial Park and the Dish. Although I didn't visit the Dish, I think it would be a great one to visit.Guest review byChristopherAustralia - 8.0

We loved the friendliness of the locals who were very eager to help. We visited the Japanese Gardens which were beautiful and tranquil. Played golf at the Cowra Golf Course which was reasonably priced, visited a number of coffee shops all recommended by the locals and had a meal at The Railway Hotel off their specials night which lucky for us was Thursday $20 steak night. Cowra is worth a visit.Guest review byGailAustralia - 2.0

I was off season so with clouds and some rain everything (star gazing) was cancelled just hour before they commenced. There is nothing else to do here, 6hrs to turn around and go home. The landscape is the same as the rest of country NSW, nothing special to see here. No activities, no nice places to dine or breakfast. You can see clear sky's and stars from almost any country town or camp off the populated areas. The Sydney Observatory has a better experience come rain or shine. Nothing special, actually very boring and disappointing. Save yourself a long road trip and avoid unless it's clear and you happen to be passing through.Guest review bySimonAustralia - 10.0

Forbes has some lovely historic buildings , well worth a walk around. The Wetlands and bird hides are beautiful, a very picturesque and peaceful spot. The tourist information centre well worth the visit to see what else is in and around the town ( biscuit factory tours, sculptures by the Lachlan river etc). We really enjoyed our stopever hereGuest review byPhilippaAustralia - 10.0

We had just one night and could have stayed for another. We found the Gilgandra Museum and the Coo-ee Museum, where we could have spent more time. The weather was perfect and so found the whole experience very enjoyable.Guest review byJennyAustralia - 10.0
Gulgong is unique, many buildings are original .
Gulgong is unique, many buildings are original . The Mayne street is still narrow as in the Cobb and Co days. The people are friendly and the museums are incredible. A shame it is still not on the back of the ten dollar not. If you are visiting Mudgee wineries . Gulgong is a must for a visit. The pubs are great and The Silver Fox Café was great for coffee and lunch. Enjoy your visit.Guest review byKerryAustralia
