- From $152.04 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 495 reviewsBeautiful place with private kangaroos, peacocks, emus, chicken and goats. Kangaroos come really close to the bungalows and it's super cute to observe them. You can get fresh eggs from the chickens. The bungalow has a private kitchen with stove, oven, microwave and fridge. This is a great place to relax for a few days or go on hikes in the national park.Guest review byNadine2020Switzerland

The Zoo and McKenzie Falls were highlights for us.
The Zoo and McKenzie Falls were highlights for us. Both are definitely worth doing. There are also several very good restaurants and a nice brewery pub. We only were there for an overnight stay, but could have stayed longer.Guest review byTimroyAustralia - 8.0
Liked the Wannon Waterfalls within 20 minutes of the town.
Liked the Wannon Waterfalls within 20 minutes of the town. Unfortunately, the other one was closed for repairs and signage was not used to inform travellers. So many people, including me would have driven many kms out of their way from either end of the access road to the falls. Why didn’t the authorities who had approved the repairs to Nigretta Falls consider the impact and waste of fuel for many tourists over the many months this site has been closed? There are some great bluestone old churches and Victorian style houses with great iron lace work in the township. The Information Centre is stylish and well presented with helpful staff.Guest review byGraemeAustralia - 10.0

Ararat is a lovely town in itself and has everything you need, town hall, art gallery, many shops, antiques, eating places, gift shops, swimming pool, indoor and out, recreation, park, drives up to Halls Gap and tourist attractions areas. Didn't like the mess and Barracks much, it was cheap and very pub style.Guest review byMareeAustralia - 8.0

Brilliant sample of country Victoria/Australia; genuine warm country welcome amid towering gums, native bushlands, great birdlife and cute animals. The easy walk through bushland to town delivers great food, sensational wine list and great morning coffee. ...and I'm a professional tour guide showing tourists around, so I'm a well-informed "purchaser"Guest review byLuigi De SotoAustralia - 10.0

Unit was very clean.
Unit was very clean. First row from the lake, so the view of the lake and mountains was magnificent. Not far from Halls Gap, and other main attractions, Brambuk, McKenzie falls, Grand Canyon walk, Balconies, Boroka, Lake Bellfield, and others.Guest review byBzykacAustralia - 10.0

The villa looked brand new and was very comfortable and well-equipped. We enjoyed being in a rural setting with a kangaroo visiting in the morning and lots of cockatoos. We ate in one night and visited Halls Gap the other, an easy trip in from Pomonal.Guest review byChristineAustralia - 10.0

Halls Gap is a small town abutting the beautiful Grampians National Park. Halls Gap town has many facilities for a short stay. The main attraction of the town is its direct access to walking trails. There is a range of trails, and they cater to many fitness levels. Much has been done to improve accessibility and safety in the National Park in recent years. The unique rock formations that can be seen from the town and the myriad wildlife all around are a real drawcard. Having a car allows you to see more of the park, and I'd say, is a must. It's a place I have visited more than 10 times, and I'll keep coming back.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

We enjoyed our stay and the bookshop was very good and the Anglican Book Fair was an added bonus for hard to get novels. The restaurant at which we had dinner was good value and the dishes well prepared.Guest review byGeorgeAustralia
