The room was spacious, with beautiful wooden flooring, the bathroom was huge with lots of natural light and luxury amenities, and I loved the selection of T2 teas in the room. A true oasis with lush shady gardens, sparkling clean pool, and a lovely breakfast room, with gorgeous artworks and natural wood furniture. Delicious breakfast each morning with something different on offer. Marilynne was an exceptional host and we felt very well looked after. She accommodated our late arrival, found a lactose-free yogurt for me, and was always ready to offer insightful advice about restaurants or places to visit. Located walking distance to the town, and the the jetty to jetty walk, there is so much nearby to explore. An easy bus ride to Cable Beach, without the crowds of that side of Broome. Definitely recommend this exquisite place to anyone wanting the authentic Broome experience!

AustraliaI love the kitch 70’s tropical vibe. The hotel staff were very accommodating allowing us to leave our luggage a week prior to check in while we went camping on the peninsula. When we returned they had upgraded our room on the second floor. Balcony with views. Spacious room. Great pool with 25m lap section. Also next door to fabulous restaurant. Papa Fuego. The staff went out of their way to ensure we could get a dinner booking. Would definitely recommend this small hotel for value for money.

Its nice to come to a place where all staff from Reception checking in, to bar staff and kitchen staff..Even security have really nice customer service skills which goes a long way out here. Food was excellent. There was a local band on Saturday which was a good treat too.

Its a busy service centre , its easy to get around but your...
Its a busy service centre , its easy to get around but your own transport is a bonus, The two main commercial centres are a couple of km apart. The airport is in the middle of town and the flight path goes straight over the CBD and Chinatown. Quite startling to watch a big jet wheels down thundering low overhead. There is an hourly bus service to Cable beach and back during the tourist season with convenient stops along the way. Good shopping in Broome, supermarkets and general stores for everything you need. A broad range of accommodation options from the luxury high end to back packer places. Kimberley Travellers Lodge was nice, low cost comparatively and handy to the CBD and walking distance to the airport Chinatown and the airport. Definitely go to Cable Beach, a great location, good safe swimming with lifeguards and adjacent food outlets..the Divers Tavern is great as is the General Store by the RAC campground. An excellent place to take short trips from, for example Emma gorge or Wyndham. The town is small but there are some very nice eating spots. Great for fishing, with Barramundi being the fish to catch. I would highly recommend hiring a 4wd then you can get around the town and also explore some great places that are out of town but accessible only by 4WD. But don't panic nearly all the tour operators will pick you up from the place you are staying if you choose not to hire a car. Unfortunately Halls Creek is suffering from lack of inspiration! Information Centre not open so no information of the area, it is run down and needs a good lot of help from the WA govt to encourage tourism ... There is a lot to see and the history is amazing. Roads are very poor to the sights people wish to see and explore. Derby was a cute town with a lovely art gallery where you can watch the artist at work and learn about other artists in the area. You can even get a cuppa and cake there. The lake views never get old.
The lake views never get old. The staff are helpful and friendly. I highly recommend doing the boat tour and the guide Lukas was knowledgeable and super fun. The picnic spot down near the discharge into the Ord was peaceful. The pool was great but too cold to enter (im a Territorian 😂). The homestead museum was a highlight with so much nice old memorabilia there. Grassed areas were green and perfect for a walk or to sit and take it all in. I also recommend going to Kununurra and Wyndham as there's so much history to take in. I will definitely be back multiple times. Just kicking myself I didn't visit sooner. Just get there no matter what . Everything in the Kimberley is larger than life and this is beyond belief . Well run establishment which works like clockwork. So wonderfully peaceful and remote. We did an amazing 6 hour tour with Bundy and four of his family. Cannot recommend highly enough! Loved the relaxed attitude of the locals, everyone so friendly and helpful. So there was a nice ambience. Getting around without a car was tricky as there is an uncordinated taxi arrangement but we did manage, so thanks to the taxi drivers. There was also extreme variation to price for same distance - up to 100%. Dined at a variedty of locations and found we liked the Wharf best. Loved the day trip to horizontal falls but would advise travellers to research the timing and implications of neep tide. Whale search was fun and productive on one trip. Camel ride also a lot of fun. I really enjoyed all the day tours I was able to do from Kununurra to Lake Argyle, Bungle Bungle, Mitchell Falls and El Questro and there are some lovely art galleries in town. Generally people were friendly however I wouldn't venture out after dark. I was very glad I chose the Kimberley Croc Motel as it is very central, right opposite Coles, so easy walking distance. It's nothing flash but has a lovely little pool and courtyard, a good laundry and kitchen so very economical, and also pet-friendly. It is also secure. If you have a vehicle there is lovely accommodation on the edge of town beside or near the lake.Guest review byPamela
