The staff are social and fun - they make an effort to include everyone in the festivities and really seem to enjoy what they do! Bonus points for the banana costumes, that really made this hostel special.

People staying at the hostel were so friendly and kind. Even though I stayed there for just one week, it felt like I was a part of a large family. I highly recommend this place.

Our room was super nice, the best we have stayed in so far. I wish we had booked Gladstone Backpackers for longer.

Set back from the road, surrounded by trees, very relaxing. It was an oasis away from the hassle and bustle of the main beach areas. Loved the pool, communal areas and the woodfire pizza night!

We had a lovely stay at Emu Park. I wasn't sure what it would be like based on some previous reviews. However, it was clean and comfortable and great value for money when compared to average accommodation prices. We stayed on a Saturday night and it wasn't noisy. I was impressed with the extra touches, such as shampoo and beautifully folded towels.
