I live in WA, nearly 2 hours south of Perth so I may be biased. Perth is a great getaway for retired couples, groups who are seeking views, beaches, nature walks, bird watching, spring flowers, romantic walks along the river, river cruises, boating, fishing, camping, cafes, restaurants and pubs. We also have a casino. I wouldn't be coming here for extreme adventure (go up north to Karrijini) or fantastic nightlife (Eastern states). Wonderful place to stay, relax, try wonderful restaurants and local venues. We stay in Freo to indulge at wonderful restaurants and we are never disappointed. Kalbarri is just beautiful. It was our first time and we didn't want to leave. We are definitely coming back. Small coastal town, not too busy. The National park is amazing, such variety of landscapes like red cliffs, wildflowers, shallow beaches, ocean and river. So many things to do like kayaking, snorkeling, swimming, hiking, fishing.
