The style is that of a Las Vegas hotel, with rich decorations, themed rooms and halls, multiple works of art on diplay (most of them can be purchased) even in rooms. Large rooms, large bathrooms all amenities functional, most of the staff capable of speaking English. The hotel is a most unlikely appearance for such a small provincial town in the northern ( less developed) part of Bulgaria. I think it serves a starting ground for many guided tour activities to the amazing neighboring natural area of the Prohodna Cave. It serves thus, mainly groups of wealthy foreign tourists. The spa area is also nice. The parking area is sufficient. Some parts of the hotel didn't look exactly like in the photos or those areas weren't accessible to all guests, but overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The room is very much a basic accommodation- nothing fancy at all. The main dining and pool area are very nice and dinner was good. When we arrived, we learned about a festival that weekend in a village close by. It surprised me that I hadn’t found information about it before. Troyan is probably overrun by tourists during the big religious festival in mid-August and therefore I would recommend visiting earlier. The national park and the waterfalls are well worth visiting if you enjoy a long walk and climb to see the magnificent falls. There is also a huge swimming pool just inside the entrance gate that costs extra to access, and we thought of going to it until they started to play this extremely loud terrible thump thump noise that is supposed to be music that really has no place in a beautiful scenic national park where one comes to enjoy nature, quietness and solitude! There are several restaurants and a hotel in the park. The actual town of Krushuna is in a very beautiful quiet setting and has a river running along one side of it alongside the hills above it, two okay restaurants, and one useless so called supermarket that is very small and has minimal stocks and not even any cereals to buy!Guest review byJohnSouth Africa - 10.0

Unexpectedly lively town, with very vivid atmosphere. A lot of young people, children on bikes, cafes. The river is gorgeous. The covered bridge is a real masterpiece. The old town is adjacent to the town center and everything is close at hand. Lovech was actually not our main point of interest - we were on a small trip to see the Krushuna waterfalls and the Devetashka cave. So, we used Lovech only to sleep and relax. The city is clean and small, with a central area that has few shops, hotels and restaurants. The most of the buildings are from comunist era and many look deserted and unused for a long time. It is a lovely town in the mountains, the views are simply incredible! It is a very friendly town, where people have time to chat to you, and so many excellent places to eat! We particularly enjoyed the trip to Troyan Monastery, such a fantastic place, and the museum in Troyan town centre is also good. My only criticism of the town is that public transport is not great, and also that hiking is made quite difficult (and not so enjoyable) by the sheer quantity of bugs, who do not seem to be deterred by any insect repellent. Overall, if you want a more authentic taste of Bulgaria, with beautiful buildings, great food and kind people then Troyan is a great choice!Guest review byFernUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It so happened there was a carnival and loud music till late night, but there where very nice paths to have a walk in the woods. Two of them start almost from the town. There are also others nearby like - "Glozhene Monastery - Morovitza cave", or the one to the Benkovski cave. The hotel is very basic but has what you need. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows were not good either too soft or too hard. There is food on the premises until 5pm There is a kitchen so you can cook your own but you would need a car to go to the town for shopping. The waterfalls are really nice and well kept.
