- From $68.57 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 39 reviewsLovely small independent resort that's been around since 1995, but has been beautifully and immaculately maintained. Alot of local wood is used everywhere, gardens with plantings The location is on the edge of Kundasan with a great view of the mountain. There is a large viewdeck to watch the sunset behind the mountain and surrounding range, and see sunrise as light falls on the foothills. Rooms are spacious with indoor seating area facing the mountain thru large windows. There's also a large balcony with seating to watch the view The staff are very friendly. The food is ok but tourist grade - best advice is to stay w standard Malaysian dishes and avoid western dishes. There is a separate bar that they will open for you, since the restaurant is halalGuest review byAndrewUnited States
- From $83.53 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 356 reviewsWe stayed for 3 nights at Nepenthes Suite. We were given the very last unit facing the forest in the Park. The room was spacious and very clean. Amenities provided was sufficient except that the pantry area was a bit small. We enjoyed the experience of the fireplace being lit up, and it was very very cold during our stay there. Breakfast spread was good except that we got a little bored of the same menu almost everyday..Taste wise, the nasi lemak was good, the noodles tasted delicious too. We enjoyed the Sabah Tea very muchGuest review byNazneen BanuSingapore

There is no other place like Tanjung Aru Beach in Kota Kinabalu when you want to observe sunset. It is iconic (but you need to disregard hundreds of people who want to enjoy the same :-). You can buy beautiful pearls in this town. You can visit Mari Mari cultural village from this town. It exceeded our expactations.Guest review byMiroslavCzech Republic - 10.0

The Marian is full of character, being an old colonial style building, and our King room, overlooking the pool, had its own balcony area (lovely to sit and watch the birds in the garden), good air con and efficient shower in the bathroom. The pool and area around it is great. The staff in reception were friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. The hotel is situated very close to the water front, craft stores, Carpenter Street and quite near to a shopping mall. We would have liked to have stayed longer. The “roti canai” at the Indian restaurant near the Harmony Arch is super. Don’t miss the coloured lights and water fountains on the river at 8:30pm. You can watch them whilst having a beer at the James Brooke Restaurant.Guest review byMicheleUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Kundasang is truly a gem in Sabah!
Kundasang is truly a gem in Sabah! Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and cool, refreshing air, it’s the perfect destination for a peaceful getaway with family. The scenic drive up is already a treat, and once you arrive, the lush greenery and serene atmosphere make it feel like a world away from the city. We enjoyed exploring local attractions like the Desa Dairy Farm, the Alpaca Club, the vegetable markets, and the beautiful gardens. The area is also rich in culture and history, with nearby memorial sites and traditional food experiences. One of the highlights was staying at a cozy homestay near Selera Kebun, where we got to enjoy authentic dishes like nasi linopot and gulai lemak cili padi rusa salai—a must-try for food lovers! Whether you're looking to relax, reconnect with nature, or enjoy local flavors, Kundasang offers a memorable experience for all ages.Guest review byZ0272Malaysia - 8.0
The old town looks old and worn.
The old town looks old and worn. Needs a coat of paint and touch up. Too many old and abandoned buildings but oh well, it’s the entrance town to get to the Kinabatangan for wildlife spotting and Sepilok for the Orang Utan and sun bears.Guest review byMonicaIndia - 10.0
Combination of classic/old town and modern living.
Combination of classic/old town and modern living. The best thing in Sibu for me is the variety of food that you can have with cheap price! Of course my favorite is the Kampua Mee. If you love shopping, there's lot of shops where you can buy things for low price. But of course, the Sibu Night Market is the most attractive place for me.Guest review byMaxelleMalaysia - 8.0
Bintulu town is a great place to visit.
Bintulu town is a great place to visit. Been to the local beach in the evening after the visit to the Tumbina park. Few good malls we visited n did a bit shopping. Nice restaurants around town n not difficult to find them while driving around. Would like to stay at Similajau National Park once the park is open for overnight stay.Guest review byAmirulMalaysia - 4.0

To be honest, i cant find anything that is more interesting other than cheap beer, chocolate and excellent beach! Labuan does not have that is to offer me staying longer than 2 days. Its because Labuan does not have big malls, does not have proper travelling experience nor anything that give an interest for tourist. Except for having huge event or occasions. The town planner or Labuan Corporation have nothing to create in terms of tourist attractions! Its like waiting for something to be done by the government.Guest review byAlfian Awang OsmanMalaysia - 6.0

The place is not for everybody, very poor people, small homeless children playing and begging around, however I enjoyed the local experience. There is nothing to do here so if you are going for diving you are ok or for an island hopping tour that was very nice snorkelling.Guest review bySkabaCzech Republic
