- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 104 reviewsThe cabin was fabulous! We had our own parking space right near the front door. This made it very easy to unload our luggage and other items! The view from the cabin was of lake Patricia and it was a short walk to the lake itself. The interior of the cabin was just right. It had a sitting room with a gas fireplace. A kitchen with full size refrigerator freezer and stove. The bedroom was just the right size for a couple and the restroom was perfect! We wish we could have spent a week there but our travel plans did not permit us.Guest review byRichard HolmUnited States
- From $552.11 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 100 reviewsThe lodge was so cozy and beautiful and had amazing views. The glamping tents were the perfect size, comfortable and so cozy! It was amazing to be able to stay in a such a secluded and beautiful area of kananaskis. The food was incredible and you never go hungry! Met some wonderful people as well, both staff and other guests. There’s no wifi in the tents which is great, and wifi in the lodge if you need it. The service was fantastic. Overall, I had the best stay. I would come back here time and time again.Guest review byNataliaCanada

The peaceful surroundings added to the charm, making it a perfect spot for a truly enjoyable and restful getaway. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil and pleasant stay.Guest review byCarolinaBrazil

Banff is a great place with a super vibe based on the beauty of the forest and mountains. Kids working the restaurants and bars are really nice. In September, we didn’t find it noisy or too crowded but just right. You can easily drive or bike to many local attractions. I recommend a E bike.Guest review byDr Louis CardinalCanada - 10.0
It’s a lovely place!
It’s a lovely place! Close enough to Banff - 15 minutes - to be able to get there easily. But not nearly as crowded! The town itself has lovely open streets to enjoy and plenty of restaurants and breweries to add to the experience. We loved the drive over to Banff with such amazing mountain views! And a big surprise was Sauvage Restaurant with a tasting menu created from foraged ingredients! A delicious and impressive place!Guest review byChrisAustralia - 8.0
Jasper has a lot to offer.
Jasper has a lot to offer. It's quieter than Banff, but plenty of food options in a small down town without the same level of overt tourism as Banff. Only drawback is all the areas that remain closed due to fires from over a year ago. We missed out on 3 of the top 4 hikes we had planned to take, so check the trail status before you go.Guest review byJonUnited States - 6.0

Not what I expected with the cost of the accommodations in this town, thought maybe was a Canmore but not even close. Restaurants closed, Only bright spot was the Blend Kitchen and Bar restaurant, excellent!Guest review byGerry RansonCanada - 2.0

I paid nearly $800 per night expecting a quiet, nature-focused stay, as advertised on the hotel’s website. Instead, I was first given a noisy room, and then moved to another that smelled strongly of bleach and had a broken window. Despite my allergy, no alternative room was offered. The bleach fumes caused severe headaches that required painkillers, and by the second day, ants had entered the room. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and far from worth the price.Guest review byMaryamUnited Kingdom - 2.0

It was awful from start to finish way over charged it was worth more like 50$ a night than the 440$ a night I was charged- the room was old ,outdated , wifi only work when it felt like ( not often) the beds were so lumpy old mattress that my back was sore for days after their was dirt under the bed some previous renter had left their old cereal bits under the bed visible if the cleaning staff had bothered to look under the bed the very old shower leaked all over the floor the restaurant was lousy the food mediocre at best there is no reason to ever stay at this hotel it is a dumpGuest review byBeatrice - 10.0
What can I say except for WOW!
What can I say except for WOW! My husband and I were there in Sept/Oct and everywhere we turned was another magnificent view of a mountain, glacier, canyon, lake. We rented bikes and rode to Vermillion Lakes and beyond. We hiked up Johnston Canyon, we took easy and more challenging walks, and met people from around the world. We flew into Calgary, drove to Banff, then to Castle Junction and stayed in two places I would recommend - Johnston Canyon Lodge and Bungaloos and Castle Mountain Chalets. We had a great trip!Guest review byChinelli - 10.0

It was just superb. The apartment was big enough to make us feel at home. Jenny, our host is very helpful and ever ready. The apartment is very well equipped with modern amenities. We enjoyed our stay. we would definitely prefer to stay again.Guest review byNinaIndia - 10.0

Banff was a great a place to shop but parking was a problem though I had a handicapped sign. The 9 hour tour we took in a 14 passenger van was wonderful. It is a beautiful park. I would recommend the Viator tour. We did hike the Hoodoo Trail near our Banff rocky Mountain resort and enjoyed Canmore, too as we are skiers. The Legacy bike trail was amazing though we did not bring our bikes this time.Guest review byKristenUnited States
