- From $361.64 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 580 reviewsFor a property that is over 100 years old it has been maintained very well. It was so nice to be right at the trail head to the Falls and we even did the entire hike to the Ink Pods. The communal BBQ area was perfect and our unit was perfect for having dogs with us as it was one of the back units. We also had a very restful stay and the claw foot tub was great for soaking after our 14 Km hike.Guest review byRochelleCanada

Banff is a great place with a super vibe based on the beauty of the forest and mountains. Kids working the restaurants and bars are really nice. In September, we didn’t find it noisy or too crowded but just right. You can easily drive or bike to many local attractions. I recommend a E bike.Guest review byDr Louis CardinalCanada - 10.0
It’s a lovely place!
It’s a lovely place! Close enough to Banff - 15 minutes - to be able to get there easily. But not nearly as crowded! The town itself has lovely open streets to enjoy and plenty of restaurants and breweries to add to the experience. We loved the drive over to Banff with such amazing mountain views! And a big surprise was Sauvage Restaurant with a tasting menu created from foraged ingredients! A delicious and impressive place!Guest review byChrisAustralia - 2.0

I paid nearly $800 per night expecting a quiet, nature-focused stay, as advertised on the hotel’s website. Instead, I was first given a noisy room, and then moved to another that smelled strongly of bleach and had a broken window. Despite my allergy, no alternative room was offered. The bleach fumes caused severe headaches that required painkillers, and by the second day, ants had entered the room. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and far from worth the price.Guest review byMaryamUnited Kingdom - 2.0

It was awful from start to finish way over charged it was worth more like 50$ a night than the 440$ a night I was charged- the room was old ,outdated , wifi only work when it felt like ( not often) the beds were so lumpy old mattress that my back was sore for days after their was dirt under the bed some previous renter had left their old cereal bits under the bed visible if the cleaning staff had bothered to look under the bed the very old shower leaked all over the floor the restaurant was lousy the food mediocre at best there is no reason to ever stay at this hotel it is a dumpGuest review byBeatrice - 10.0
What can I say except for WOW!
What can I say except for WOW! My husband and I were there in Sept/Oct and everywhere we turned was another magnificent view of a mountain, glacier, canyon, lake. We rented bikes and rode to Vermillion Lakes and beyond. We hiked up Johnston Canyon, we took easy and more challenging walks, and met people from around the world. We flew into Calgary, drove to Banff, then to Castle Junction and stayed in two places I would recommend - Johnston Canyon Lodge and Bungaloos and Castle Mountain Chalets. We had a great trip!Guest review byChinelli - 10.0

Banff was a great a place to shop but parking was a problem though I had a handicapped sign. The 9 hour tour we took in a 14 passenger van was wonderful. It is a beautiful park. I would recommend the Viator tour. We did hike the Hoodoo Trail near our Banff rocky Mountain resort and enjoyed Canmore, too as we are skiers. The Legacy bike trail was amazing though we did not bring our bikes this time.Guest review byKristenUnited States - 8.0

Canmore is a beautiful town with a fantastic position in the Rockies. We have been going regularly for several years and in my view it is being spoilt by a rush to build, build, build and its character is in serious danger of being ruined. Still worth a visit but go soon before it is completely ruined.Guest review byPeterFrance - 10.0

The Lake access can be difficult due to the massive crowds Lake Louise, such that hundreds of people walk 1-2 miles uphill just to get to the lake, because parking lot is full by 8:00 AM. There is a reason for this - possibly the most beautiful mountain setting on earth, with dozens of iconic hikes within minutes of the area.Guest review byCJ LangUnited States - 6.0

Great views, very good food in restaurant and reasonable prices. Nice gift shop. There are lots of great places to go to from there and see and hike. We only stayed one night and got in later in the day. Only real issue was the room was very dark and hot. We had forgotten a small cooler in our room and although I know that there is no cell service no attempt was made to contact us to let us know where it was. We only knew that it was there as we retraced our route.Guest review byLynnCanada
