View was wonderful. Living room and kitchen is very spacious. Very nice for gathering. Three rooms and two bathroom are downstair. Rooms are a bit tight for putting the luggage out. But it was a really nice stay. The coffee provided was very nice and from local.

I loved everything in this hotel. The staff was fantastic, the cleaning lady was so kind. The location is excellent, you can go walking to the main places in Downtown Vancouver. We asked for help to scheduling our whale watching and the Concierge not only made the reservation, he warned us about the day with the best weather conditions for the tour.

I loved the rooms, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were all really professional and friendly. The location was great to see the attractions like the ice hockey and still close enough to go to Stanley park and Gaston and all the shops in Robson St and Frankie’s restaurant.

Put on your best walking shoes as you can walk most places you want to see, including parts of Stanley Park. Carderos is very close by - reservations are recommended and the food is fabulous; good GF options. We ate at the Lift Bar and Grill - limited GF options as a multi-use fryer. Joe Fortes for a more upscale meal out (another great meal), although dress code - anything pretty much goes. The area is very busy when the cruise ships are in. If you are celiac do your homework for restaurants and who offers what and whether they have a dedicated fryer.

We really enjoyed the Secwepemc Museum.

We really enjoyed the Secwepemc Museum. It was a little complicated to find and the museum is not big but well presented and organized and easy to navigate. The stories of the culture of the Secwepemc people, government involvement, and the boarding school were all well told and illustrated. The small gift shop had some interesting material for sale.

Kelowna is a lovely city nestled in the Okanagan Valley. As with other cities in the most beautiful parts of Canada, it has grown somewhat since our last visit, but continues to be well-maintained and easy to navigate. Wineries abound, but so do spectacular views and the beautiful Oakanagan Lake!

This wasn't our first trip to Nanaimo so we did know our way around most of the city and beyond, but it is always a great place to be. We love the well planned Harbour walkways, many events in the parks, the beach trails. Our favourite beach walks are Piper's Lagoon and Neck Point. There are many good music venues, restaurants, scenic drives and walks. We easily found side roads that were basically parallel to the highway to get to and from downtown. Nanaimo has has a LOT to offer any visitor of any age! Can't wait to return!
