- From $239.82 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 623 reviewsEveything. it is indeed our home away from home during those 3 nights we stayed in the King Suite and it's very spacious and with a full kitchen you can do your own cooking easily. Definitely get the room with views to the beach. Bed is nice and comfy. We also had a dinner at the restaurant down on the main floor and service was 10/10 (food 8/10). Definitely worth a visit. The whole experience has been a real holiday treat away from busy city life.Guest review byBear HsiaoTaiwan

This wasn't our first trip to Nanaimo so we did know our way around most of the city and beyond, but it is always a great place to be. We love the well planned Harbour walkways, many events in the parks, the beach trails. Our favourite beach walks are Piper's Lagoon and Neck Point. There are many good music venues, restaurants, scenic drives and walks. We easily found side roads that were basically parallel to the highway to get to and from downtown. Nanaimo has has a LOT to offer any visitor of any age! Can't wait to return!Guest review byTerry & PatCanada - 10.0
Parksville is a pretty area to visit.
Parksville is a pretty area to visit. If you like smaller places to stay, I'd recommend coming here. There's lots to see and do. Had breakfast at the Brazen Poppy Cafe. Great food and coffee. Would have gone twice, but was closed one of the days we were in the area. Parksville is close to Coombs to see the goats on the roof and take a wander through the Market and all the stores in the area. Also a fairly short drive to Cathedral Grove which is a great place to walk around in all the large trees. There is a Butterfly World close by that was fascinating to go through. On our next trip to Vancouver Island, this would be on our list of places to come back to.Guest review byHildaCanada - 8.0

The farmers market on Saturday was fantastic - I got the best scones I've ever had from one of the vendors. it would have been nice to have a little more time to explore the town and the beach but we were there for a wedding so had limited "tourist" hoursGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0
The space was great.
The space was great. Sat on the couch and could see the ocean view. I easily walked around the neighbourhood. There is a marina within walking distance with a restaurant and coffee shop. Very lovely but was closed during my stay. Ate at Qualicum Beach Cafe. Great happy hour menu and also at The BeachClub Resort in Parksville. You do need a car. Lots of hiking, biking, walking, kayaking and beaches.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
The Inner Harbor was beautiful.
The Inner Harbor was beautiful. The Snowbirds did a show when I was there. The harbor was lively and fun. The hiking in the area was awesome. Nanaimo is easy to navigate with a car. Great halfway stop between Victoria and Tofino.Guest review byMary LynnUnited States - 6.0

Not much to do, really; except relaxing in the hotel facilities and enjoying the scenery. Parksville could benefit greatly from a few more nice dining facilities and cafés. Also, unlike towns such as Campbell River, Parksville did not offer any opportunities for browsing and shopping.Guest review bylaal - 8.0

Very nice, even during the winter months if you are okay with cooler temperatures, grey skies and rainy weather. The beach and town areas are clean. Various wildlife and sea life can be viewed with binoculars with lots of trails and points of interest being nearby or a short drive away. Qualicum area is nice to visit during the winter as the shoulder season is not busy with tourists.Guest review byN HamiltonCanada - 10.0

Stayed here coming back from Tofino to catch the Nanaimo ferry the next day. Fabulous hosts, great views over the Bay from the hillside, easy access, spacious property, immaculately clean, peace and quiet, yet close to town. Certainly a place I will will come back to soon. I rate it five stars. At the Provincial Park in nearby Parkville, I saw 12 orcas right off the beach.Guest review byJelleUnited States - 6.0
Nice town. Good things to do in the area.
Nice town. Good things to do in the area. Cowichen River float, Parksville mini golf, cycling the adjacent islands. Druggies and street people/beggars. Sirens all night. Car alarms. Shouting at night. Traffic even during the week at off peak hours.Guest review byH - 10.0
We were there for the last 3 days of the beach festival.
We were there for the last 3 days of the beach festival. The sand sculptures, illuminated at night, were amazing (in the true meaning of the word) in their artistry and creativity. The beaches, parks and old growth trees were a delight to see. There are several excellent and unique restaurants. This town is perfect for a romantic couple's break or for a family with children. A suggestion for the City Council: Provide a small, free, illustrated map of the city with various attractions and the unique places to eat, visit and play.0 Tony Keble.Guest review byAnthonyCanada
