As a former resident of Toronto I can say that it is much better than it was 40-50 years ago. In recent years, it has matured into a truly world class city with fine dining, entertainment and cultural activities so that anyone would be able to find fun and interesting things to see and do for adults and children; young and old. As with any big city, parking can be a problem and I recommend using Spot Hero to reserve a spot ahead of time. They have excellent customer service to provide information and support regarding your parking spot. Ripley's Aquarium is worth seeing more than once and the Bata Shoe museum is more interesting than you might think. Little Canada is also excellent and worth the visit! Casa Loma should be investigated further to be sure you think it is worth visiting.Guest review byElaineCanada - 10.0
Was going to show at Budweiser stage.
Was going to show at Budweiser stage. Waterside Inn's proximity to Port Credit GO station was a major consideration, just a short walk ( 7 minutes ) through a pleasant hospitality district and clean residential area directly to terminal door. Very convenient for trip to GO Exhibition stop / Ontario Place.Guest review byMichaelCanada - 10.0

I really enjoyed my time in Toronto, but I have to say Roger’s Stadium (not to be confused with Roger’s Centre) was a huge disappointment. Getting there was a trek, and the uneven walking path was rough—my wife even twisted her ankle. The stadium itself didn’t feel sturdy at all, swaying uncomfortably, and the overall organization left a lot to be desired. For example, people weren’t allowed to get to their seats because of “wind concerns,” which only made me worry more about how the structure was built. (The show was rescheduled and we were set to see our band at 7:20, yet they weren't letting us in at that time, and they wouldn't even tell us why.) Having been to Woodstock ’99, I can honestly say this place gave me the same uneasy feeling—like an accident waiting to happen. That said, the rest of the trip was wonderful. We had a beautiful stroll through Edward’s Gardens, enjoyed the absolute best onion rings ever at Rosie’s Burgers (their shakes are amazing too!), and had a great breakfast at Stacked Pancakes in Ontario. I’d gladly come back to Toronto again—just never for a concert at Roger’s Stadium.Guest review byElizabethUnited States - 8.0

Loved - the size and configuration of room, closeness to airport and quality of buffet. Second stay - during the first we had a number of issues related to the hotel being newly opened, but they were graciously resolved by the manager. Very annoyed that they still haven't got their "process and systems" fixed so they know which guests have paid for breakfast. Once again you go to breakfast, only to have the concierge tell you your breakfast isn't included even though you have paid for it. Once again standing in line with my family, embarrased that I have to prove to a staff member I have indeed paid for breakfast. Sort this out, the staff are all aware of the issue, they could let guests know its a problem when they check and sort it out proactively so its not an issue in the morning. Or just presume that everyone has paid for breakfast and don't hassle guests to prove they have paid for it. Annoying...but worse for guests who aren't English speakers trying to negotiate for what they have paid for.Guest review byLisaCanada - 6.0

This hotel's staff were audaciously asking for 20% tips at breakfast. When we carried no cash, we were even ask to charge it to our room service bills. We are a senior couple travelling from U.S. and this was our first and last time to Hilton Garden Inn at Markham (Highway 7 and Highway 404). Very bad experience.Guest review byZHENGCanada - 10.0

I can't really give great review of the town or city due to short stayed. It's a bit far and cost a bit from the CN tower and other attractions as we used Uber rides as means of transportations to and from the hotel.Guest review byMaricel
