AustraliaEverything!!! The ambience was just so cute! The beautiful garden, the view of the mountains and valley(not to mention the hot tub overlooking it) and our lovely accommodation ! Everything was thought of and super comfortable! I loved all the collectables that were around the rooms, it gave it very ‘Canadian’ vibe. Our breakfast was amazing…. and too much, but it was soo delicious we had to eat it all 😃
Most of all our host was so helpful and super friendly!!! We are both well traveled and she would definitely be up there as a favourite super host. ❤️ Only regret we weren’t able to stay longer!

The bed and side chair were totally comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful. The air conditioner worked well, and was reasonably quiet. The TV was large and in good condition, and had a solid selection of channels. And it was placed in an area that certainly seemed safe, and also within a 3-5 minute walk of a downtown street with a couple of nearby restaurants and an ice cream shop. Granted, it’s not a modern high rise, and the price was more than I’d like, but it was substantially below most others nearby. That’s the way Golden is in the summer! But for those of us who’ll seek out a local budget spot when the big chains are priced so high in tourist areas, this is a superb choice! Frankly, I’ve stayed in those big ones on the nights before and after the Rondo, and the Rondo was better!Guest review byJamesUnited States

The bed was soft, linens and pillows so comfortable, the temperature was easily regulated, and the little kitchen had everything we needed for our two-night stay. We were able to snowshoe right from our cabin door and warm up in the fabulous hot tub after, under softly falling snow. We went to a lovely restaurant called Eleven 22 that was within 5 minutes walk of the complex and the staff there were very helpful. Golden is a charming small city located not too far from Edmonton. Though it has a small population, it offers big adventures—especially at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, which is a must-visit. Visitors can enjoy scenic chairlift and gondola rides, and at the top, there's even a Grizzly Bear habitat. You can walk along secured trails with barricades and safely observe the grizzly bear in its natural mountain environment. It’s a unique and unforgettable experience for nature and wildlife lovers. The Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre, located about a 15‑minute drive north of Golden, BC, is an engaging destination for wildlife and conservation enthusiasts. A 25-minute guided presentation at the enclosures covers wolf behavior, conservation, why they howl, and their ecological role. $15 per person and is a Cash only facility.
