Brossard was just a one night stopover for us. We arrived at suppertime. There are a few restaurants within walking distance of the hotel so we didn't do any further exploring. We left after the hotel breakfast.

It's a nice place but we got charged $70 for things from the mini fridge. We didn't have anything, not even a coffee from the espresso machine because it costs money. I walked over to the Tim Hortons next door to get coffee. The mini bar was as full when we left as it was when we got there. Weve tried to talk to the manager but he doesnt "seem" to be available anytime. Perhaps they need to look at their staff.

St_Hyacinthe was a city that I liked to hate until 2 days ago. The City now has 37 restaurants. I had supper at Le Parvis which is located in an old church. Exceptional attention is brought to each customer. Excellent food, great service and bring your wine. This is a good recipe to save money. For architecture lovers, visit the cathedral mainly at night. The city hall surroundings are amazing and their downtown is lively. The people are very nice and helpful. It is save at any time of the day.

Nothing much to see there,we only went there because of the cheap motel, there was a small fort that was about 15 minutes from the motel which had a modest entrance fee and was a good place to kill a few hours, not sure if there's any other tourist spots like that in the area, but overall it was a good visit.

A dormitory town for Montreal overspill.

A dormitory town for Montreal overspill. Population about 40,000. You can buy anything at the malls. Plenty of choice for eating out. Walks around the lake/river. Lots of nature especially for bird lovers. OK for 2-3 days but a little boring for a longer visit because it is a suburb and lacks the character of the big city. Everything in Vaudreuil depends on the car and it is not a place for mooching around.

We stayed in the convenient shopping district of the DIX30 Quartier in Brossard at Hotel Alt, which was fantastic. You can walk everwhere in the Quartier, including to the train into Montreal, which was only a 20 min ride and was 19$CD round trip for 2 people on Friday. The train takes you to the Gare Central in Montreal where you can pick up trains around the country! We loved the Cafe du Theatre French Brasserie so much we ate there twice! Brunch on Saturday till 3pm. The Irish Pub was too long a line for us on Friday but looked very popular! There is a huge Cineplex Odeon with 360 viewing and a mix of movies in French and English. I didn't visit but I saw there is an IKEA in Brossard too! As US visitors, we loved being immersed in the culture and found everyone so friendly. We got along on my rusty French just fine, and even if someone didn't understand my French, they were still super helpful. We loved Brossard, Montreal, and Canada and will be back!

The tourist attractions from Montreal and Longueil are awesome. The major places to visit are close by to each other and you need to walk a lot. The shopping streets were fun especially during Christmas and New Year. The decorations on the streets are eye catching and you can make tons of memories by posing to camera clicks. We found lot of old French Restaurants on the streets with Live music and food was great in few of them. The Science center, Archeological museum, Plage du Parc Jean Drapeau and Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal are must watch to relive the history of Montreal.
