- From $152.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 444 reviewsI was traveling in BC, Canada from California to help build the new Double Bay Sanctuary for orca whales on remote Hanson Island, where OrcaLab is located. Unfortunately, I needed emergency care near the end of my stay, which led us to the Comox Valley ER. Crown Isle was the only property in Comox showing availability that night (the peak of summer season), so even though it was much, MUCH swankier than we needed, we booked it. What a surprise and delight Crown Isle Resort is! The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are huge and well appointed, with a fully stocked kitchen, separate living room, two fireplaces (!) and a balcony with cafe table and chairs overlooking the forest. Even though the front desk closed before we arrived, a desk clerk met us and offered coffee and cookies, and got us checked in. I'm not a golfer, but if I were, I would definitely stay here, and I'd stay here again just for the comfort, beauty, and luxurious pampering Crown Isle offers. The big, plush robe, jet bathtub, down pillows and comforter, L'Occitane toiletries, and every other lovely detail were worth the splurge.Guest review byKimberlyUnited States

Stopped here one night before flying from Comox airport.
Stopped here one night before flying from Comox airport. Seemed a nice local town and residential area with small independent shops. We didn’t have time to visit any nearby attractions or eat at local restaurants.Guest review byAmandaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It's a seaside town with an air base, an air museum, a marina and various parks. BC generally isn't big on organised attractions, and though there are paths along coasts you won't find ice cream vans, bucket and spade shops etc. This is Canadian seaside, and it's very different from the Victorian English vision of what a seaside resort should be like.Guest review byPearCiderUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Cumberland is one of the Hidden Gem towns of British Columbia. Lots to do there, considering it's a small town, and worth visiting especially if you enjoy walking, hiking, mountain biking, etc. If you arrive in a vehicle, Cumberland can be a convenient center for exploring the outdoors in every season: alpine or cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, or fat-tire biking in winter; swimming and boating, etc., in summer; and hiking all year round. Cumberland is a vibrant town with pubs and restaurants, excellent parks, some little shops. Nice relaxing place!Guest review byJohnCanada - 8.0
People were nice.
People were nice. Beaches along the coast were lovely and a good place to stay for visiting Courtenay itself and to use as a base for visiting other places. We ate at the Atlas Cade the first night and it was so good we went there again the second night. Great wait staff and great food.Guest review byAudreyCanada - 10.0
Comox has lots of beautiful areas to explore.
Comox has lots of beautiful areas to explore. The town was cute and had everything you needed plus some interesting stores. Great little getaway place. Plus there is also Courtenay and Cumberland right there for more areas to visit.Guest review byLouidsCanada - 8.0

We stayed in Courtenay to try to go skiing, but unfortunately, this winter has almost no snow, but that's ok, it was our first time in town and it was nice, we had great food at Local and The Hen and Hog Cafe, I definitely recommend those two places.Guest review byRaf FriquesCanada - 8.0
This time we stayed right around Kye Bay.
This time we stayed right around Kye Bay. We ventured over to Little River and Cape Lazo and visited some of the beaches, nice to change up the visual. We lunched at Crown Isle (tasty) and had dinner at Land and Sea brewery (also good). Getting groceries and fuel was easy and relatively close. We enjoyed some chipping and putting at Glacier Greens one evening. The beach at Key Bay was so wonderful! There is a lot more to do and we will likely go back.Guest review byTegwinCanada
