Prince Edward County (PEC) is foodie place.
Prince Edward County (PEC) is foodie place. We had wonderful meals there at restaurants and at some of the local wineries. The staff at these places were very friendly. It was easy getting around Picton and PEC. We went on a hike at Little Bluff conservation area, but must admit that there was not much to see. I would suggest another conservation area/hike. We did not go to Sandbanks Provincial Park (very busy) so I'm thinking that is a better site to visit. I was expecting the quaintness and stunning scenery of Niagara on the Lake, however, we did not find that type of scenery or access to such locations. Once again, perhaps we were not in the appropriate locations. For us, it was a nice 2 day getaway to a place we had not visited before.Guest review byVidyaCanada - 10.0

Beautiful city with great places to eat (flame+smit, la condesa) to enjoy wine (Sugarbush, Closson Chase, Grange of PEC, Sandbanks Estate Winery, Karlo Estates Winery) and charming people. You can explore the places by car or rent a bike! We will be back!Guest review byAgnieszkaNetherlands - 10.0
The hostess met us and showed us around.
The hostess met us and showed us around. Having two bathrooms was great for two couples. Beautiful views, complete kitchen. This property should have a top rating. Hostess left us a local bottle of wine and chocolate, a nice touch! Only issue is we would have liked to pay on the booking.com site instead of paying in cash when we arrived.Guest review byBrennaUnited States - 8.0

Bloomfield is a lovely little town with a main street of unique shops. It is the perfect place to go and buy birthday, Christmas, and fun gifts. Green Gables is a store in a house and each room has a different theme and honestly there is something for everyone there. I love the Diva store for unique jewelry and find the deals amazing. I bought lots of prom items there for my daughter and friends. The store across from Green Gables had the best lemongrass candles and lots of locally made gifts. We weren't able to eat at the restaurants on this trip as we spent more time doing that in Picton and needed reservations we discovered. The millennial trail goes through south and I would definitely recommend Bloomfield for a stop and shop or for a bite to eat.Guest review bySarahCanada - 8.0

We liked the size of the room and the lovely swimming pool area. The room was clean. The common fridge in the hallway, coffee machine and few snacks were great. The shower was very tiny. The street corner a bit noisy with traffic. Noisy AC in the room.Guest review byPastorskaCanada - 10.0

You could tell that this was a recently finished/updated property. 80% Perfect. A few misses reported only so the owner can take them under consideration. WiFi - did not work. This was already noted in other Reviews but we hoped that had been addressed... we needed to call a person whose name was located in the site binder (very handy) and he eventually called back and we were provided another secure connection. One face cloth? One hand towel? Two bath sheets - that's better but no towel bar in bathroom. We had to hang our clothes on dining room chairs as there was no rod to use in either the hall or bedroom 'closet', but here was a few hangars left in the cupboard under the eaves. Not even a plank of wood with hooks in the hall, for coats etc. Need another bedroom night table light AND extension cords to plug those lights in. This is an attic apartment so sloped walls - we had to move the dining room table out so that I (5'1) didn't bang by head. Soon learned to duck there and going to 'my' side of the bed. Note: Only 2 dinner forks, and a broken handle on one of the kitchen drawers. Note: there was only enough coffee for three cups, left for us in the freezer. French press maker only. Bring more if you need to load up in that first morning? You can walk to grocery, ice cream shop, great Mex place and the local pub/bar - North Docks just under new owners and you can tell that improvements are being made. Great entertainer one night when we popped in for dinner. Wellington is located perfectly to get around to all the sites on the island. We had a great time!Guest review byWendyCanada - 10.0

The place was gorgeous and clean, and included necessary amenities. There are two large bedrooms with lots of chance for quiet time. There is hiking, kayaking and lots of fun places to visit. One thing to keep in mind, there are about 20 wooden steps up to the apartment.Guest review byLisaCanada - 10.0

Quaint place with lots of cute little shops, great food, and best of all the beautiful country views and lots of parks around. Highly recommend Bermuda PEC which has a beautiful patio facing Main St. and amazing food. Also you gotta try Slickers ice cream - you can ask for half scoops and try more flavours.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Picton and Prince Edward County is suitable for short stays,...
Picton and Prince Edward County is suitable for short stays, ~4. Some of the attractions are not open in the winter. The location's activities are heavily skewed towards three-season summer activities. The Royal Canadian Navy archives are in Picton as well as a huge number of books on naval and boat things. I found it easy to spend a half day there.Guest review byMichaelCanada - 10.0

We enjoyed dinners at the Devonshire Inn & Lakeside Motel. We enjoyed visiting the boutiques and taking walks through the town. We were close to some of our favorite wineries and enjoyed beach days at Sandbanks Provincial Park. We would definitely visit again.Guest review byCristinaCanada
