The off/on bus is a MUST. Try to do it your first day.
The off/on bus is a MUST. Try to do it your first day. Notre Dame Cathedral was beautiful. A walk through the Plains of Abraham and the Parliament Buildings are close together and well worth seeing. Many small areas just to walk around in and see the sights. Was disappointed in the museum of civilization. Too many lovely restaurants to chose from. Our favorites were the Cafe de Paris and Polina Pizzeria. In the old city everything you want to see you can walk to. Bring good walking shoes. Lots of hills.Guest review byrobinCanada - 8.0
Beautiful place.
Beautiful place. We can see the cathedral in front and the st Laurence river in back. Would have preferred a room facing the river instead of one facing the parking lot. The room was quiet. We stayed only one night as our Congress was the next morning. If it hadn’t been for the Congress would have slept in later! The bed was very confortableGuest review byMartineCanada - 10.0

Beaupré is a wonderful place to stay with contact to nature and just 40min of Old Qubec. I just stay 4 days there during summer, I should stay at least 2 days longer, to get more chance to get some trails and maybe a bike.Guest review byMarcosCanada - 8.0

regarding location, good out-of-town base from which to either visit Quebec City (easy in and out with great parking underground near town hall-Hotel de Ville) or do day-trips to winter sports, Mt. Morrency Falls, Ile de Orleans, native light show, etc.Guest review byjamesUnited States - 6.0

The location was excellent for the purpose of our trip but the lack of food service on site was disappointing and required a 15 minute drive to the nearest restaurant. Unfortunately the place is in need of repair and renovation. At present I would say it is only 'basic'.Guest review byFrancesCanada - 10.0

I loved the greenery and the tranquility of the neighborhood. Access to the neighborhood is very easy. Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, Canyon Sainte-Anne, l'Île-d'Orléans are near. We advise you to go to the restaurant La Grange Brasserie italienne where the service and food are amazing!!!! If you want to eat a great ice cream with Monna & filles. The only thing that's a bit difficult is walking; there aren't any wide sidewalks. You have to be very careful with passing cars.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
The place and view were AMAZING!
The place and view were AMAZING! I loved the location- VERY CLOSE to the lake. The resort itself was situated on the lake, and have numerous activities that were included with your stay. My favorite; kayaking on the lake-super breath-taking. Especially with each hotel room overlooking the Laurentian Mountains! I would say however; that we had to change our rooms once during the stay- the light would not turn off, and the chargers did not work, the other hotel room worked fine- the staff were super accommodating! Overall, the resort had so much to do- perfect for a 2-3 night holiday!Guest review byOrodiFamily3Canada - 10.0
One of the world's great cities!
One of the world's great cities! The walled Old City is a UNESCO site with good reason. It literally overlooks the St Lawrence River from a height dominated by the iconic Chateau Frontenac Hotel. Though bus tours are available, the best way to explore the Old City is on foot, though the narrow streets and steep slopes may be difficult for some. Restaurants for all tastes abound, including the native French Canadian cuisine offered by such standbys as "Aux Anciens Canadians". Opportunities for shopping, gallery hopping and museum visits are also abundant in both the Old and New Cities, but the Changing of the Guard at the Citadel should not be missed!Guest review byJohnUnited States - 6.0
The reason justifying a trip to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is...
The reason justifying a trip to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is first and foremost a visit to the shrine and basilica. I went there to do a weekend retreat and and the sanctuary does have chapels where one can retire to contemplate and meditate. But if you are looking for entertainment and activities, beware! The village feels a little rough round the edges and many properties look unkempt. That being said there’s a magnificent jetty that’s just been built where one can walk and get to admire the St. Lawrence river in all of its majesty. Not to be missed. To sum it up: Thumbs up but combined with a visit to Quebec City.Guest review byMichel SaulnierCanada
