We had a lovely rustic cabin that was perfect for our family. The ambiance at the lodge was warm and hospitable, and we were quite happy with the quality of food and drinks. We loved the outdoor sauna in with a view from its setting in the woods and the pool. A fantastic stay!

The location was incredible and for the price it far exceeded my expectations. We used it as an overnight stop before skiing at Jay Peak the next day and everything went as seamlessly as it possibly could have, the insides were clean, the hosts were friendly, and the morning breakfast was an extra bonus and something we didn’t expect going into it.

The staff were absolutely lovely and helpful. The Inn is an old historic building, with books and crannies, and surprising detail and period decor.

We loved the intimate coziness of this place. The fire place in the dining area, the little store next to the reception area and the breakfast was delicious! The restaurant wasn't open the night we stayed but can imagine how great it would be.

A beautiful location in the Eastern Townships not far from skiing, shopping and restaurants. A car is a must. The Auberge has decent spa facilities and a lovely staff. The rooms are generous and quiet and have kitchenettes but no stove. A wonderful breakfast starts the day. A highlight was using the hot tub in sub zero temperatures.

Great place with Kids, huts are a bit too close together, lack of privacy but over all great experience. Would definitely go back. Stayed in a chalet, had everything needed. Nice to have the convenience of the restaurant, pool and kids games. Unfortunately the weather was bad over the weekend but we still enjoyed

This area Lac Brome is a very picturesque area, the people are very friendly and there are lots of very interesting quaint little novelty shops in town to visit. It’s a very scenic little town with a lot of charm appeal because the people are very friendly and laid back, nobody seems to be stressed out and down to earth, it kinda has the feeling of Mayberry from the Andy Griffith show, makes you appreciate the fact that there are still small towns like this in existence.

Our main reason to visit Lac-Brome (Knowlton) was to bask in the fascinating world of Louise Penny's Armand Gamache/Three Pines novels. And while the highlight for us was checking out the bookstore and the new café, we loved how beautiful the entire town was. There were so many interesting shops and restaurants to choose from, and it's the perfect place to explore on foot. We had an amazing dinner at Ensemble bar a vin, which offers locally grown and raised produce and protein sources, which were delicious! Breakfast at Auberge Lakeview Inn was also a mouth-watering experience; the smoked salmon eggs Benedict was to die for! We'll definitely spend more time in Lac-Brome when we next visit the Eastern Townships.

Lac Brome/Knowlton, and nearby towns such as Sutton, are more distinctively French than other parts of Québec that we have visited. French is the dominant language, but everyone we dealt with spoke good English, and even understood our rusty French. The Cantons de L'Est are well worth exploring. Fast and seamless border crossings from Vermont.

    Sutton is lovely.

Sutton is lovely. Very central for following all the Louise Penny “Inspector Gamache” sights in the Eastern Townships. The IGA is good for groceries if you prefer to eat in . SAQ has all the alcohol you’d want if the local breweries are not in your budget. The ski hills and wineries are everywhere. Found great shopping for clothing too. Lots of people riding the bike trails through the beautiful hills; looks so much like Vermont!
