It was hot, and Kingston was not planned as a primary stop.
It was hot, and Kingston was not planned as a primary stop. We would have liked to go to the waterfront, as we have done before, and take a boat cruise, followed by dinner. The problem is that it is so busy now and finding a parking space is problematic.Guest review byRobertCanada - 10.0

Gananoque is a great location to visit all of the 1000 islands on the Canadian side. The town had some nice restaurants. The Old English Pub, Purple House and Grayson's at Wood View Inn. took a 5 Hour tour with City Cruises of the 100 Island with a stop at Boldens castle from the docks in town. It was fantastic. The vibe in town is very much geared to tourism. When i planned this trip I knew nothing about Gananoque, but I hit a home run.Guest review byJamesUnited States - 10.0

Reeked of diesel fuel on Rockport Cruises unfortunately.
Reeked of diesel fuel on Rockport Cruises unfortunately. Otherwise it was a great cruise! Aquatarium was a little bit of a disappointment. There was plenty of room in the reptile area, but they were housed in cages that I felt were far too small for their needs with lots of space in between. 2 cages were empty and had no labels as if the reptiles had died. I really liked the part where kids could touch the creatures of the sea bottom, and I will suggest that to Science North in Sudbury, it is an excellent display. . But there were a few displays that were empty, the place kind of looked like they were in the midst of renos. Also, it was really far from parking and since I used a cane I felt it overly difficult. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I did find a plush beaver for a very reasonable price in the gift shop.Guest review byLinda - 6.0

We visited Sandbank and thought would try staying at Belleville as there were more hotel options. We visited the East Zwick's Centennial Park after we checked out from the hotel the next day and drove around Belleville by the water to Quinte West, very peaceful town but not a whole lots of activities to offer. A lot of the eateries are also closed on Sunday, the town was so quite for the day. Cute own town but not a lot to do.Guest review byAnnCanada - 6.0
Prince Edward County (PEC) is foodie place.
Prince Edward County (PEC) is foodie place. We had wonderful meals there at restaurants and at some of the local wineries. The staff at these places were very friendly. It was easy getting around Picton and PEC. We went on a hike at Little Bluff conservation area, but must admit that there was not much to see. I would suggest another conservation area/hike. We did not go to Sandbanks Provincial Park (very busy) so I'm thinking that is a better site to visit. I was expecting the quaintness and stunning scenery of Niagara on the Lake, however, we did not find that type of scenery or access to such locations. Once again, perhaps we were not in the appropriate locations. For us, it was a nice 2 day getaway to a place we had not visited before.Guest review byVidyaCanada - 8.0
My dad was stationed here in the '60s.
My dad was stationed here in the '60s. Know the area well and have been back multi times. Nice city, and the surrounding area has lots to see and do. Great drives along the Trent River/canal system, provincial parks, etc. Lots of scenic spots and history in the area. Let your vehicle take you in and direction and you'd be surprised at what you'll find.Guest review byJimCanada - 8.0

We were just traveling through on our way home from a road trip but we travel through Napanee often on our way to Ottawa, Montreal or visiting PEC. It's a cute town. There's great coffee at Coffee Cravings and I always visit Starlet - a great little shop. Now we know that the Fox motel is a good little place if we need an overnight or more. Just a little out of town.Guest review byCindyCanada - 10.0
