Hotel is near to the Appenzell train station(600m) We got an early check-in and late check-out. Delicious breakfast buffet. Spacious bathroom with a bath tub. Large balcony with a beatifull city view.

Situated at the foot of the Weissbad Alpstein countryside in Appenzell, Hotel Hof Weissbad features a 24-hour reception services and an extensive spa area. Free Wi-Fi is available. I like everything there, comfortable room, free water at any time, free tee, fresh mint with tee, herbal guarden, food, kindness of staff, everything. Will be back again. :)

Situated in Appenzell’s historic Landsgemeinde Square, Cafe-Hotel Appenzell offers an elegant restaurant with terrace that serves home-baked cakes and regional specialities. Appenzell and Hotel Appenzell were truly delightful. Everything felt welcoming, starting with the staff and the wonderful location. The restaurant is more than excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and cooked to order and perfection. Since we stayed for 3 or more nights, we received the Appenzell card which included not only many discounts, but free cable car/gondola rides. It was the best bargain in our 7 weeks in Switzerland. We loved this hotel and highly recommend it and the area to others.

Breakfeast quite complete and with plenty of local food. Gonten is a tiny and charming small town, nice landscapes around.

Well maintained and clean. We had the large upstairs family room to sleep four. Cold at night, with large comforters. Views of the town and Swiss countryside are amazing. Cows and Cow Bell sounds are everywhere. Food in restaurant was very good.

Our room was very cute. The hotel was lovely. Staff was very nice and the breakfast was good. We even had fun bowling .

Very cute but small hotel in the heart of Appenzell. Very well taken care of, renovated and very clean. Small rooms but practical and comfortable. Excellent breakfast with very high quality of products and great presentation. Really a gem, sparkling clean and beautiful all over.

Featuring free WiFi, Appenzeller Huus Bären offers pet-friendly accommodation with sun terrace in Gonten, 1.7 km from Luftseilbahn Jakobsbad-Kronberg. it was amazing. Everything was great. Beautiful interior. The family suit was georges. Breakfast is very tasty. The location is perfect but mostly we like the stuff. The receptionist was very nice and helpful and the lady with short hair who waited for us until we arrived. Also we send lots of greetings to a very kind and nice lady with glasses who is in charge of the breakfast. If we ever visit again this area we will definitely come back
