We rented a ground-floor apartment for four adults, and it proved to be an impeccable choice. The apartment was not only impeccably clean but also incredibly comfortable. The fully equipped kitchen, complete with a dishwasher, simplified our meal preparations. The presence of a cozy living area was an added bonus, and the convenience of a private parking spot right in front of the apartment was greatly appreciated. Furthermore, the hotel's provision of a self-service laundry and ironing facility on the upper floor, available for a modest fee of five francs, was a thoughtful touch.
Notably, the bathroom was spacious and immaculately clean. Our stay was nothing short of fantastic, and the standout warmth and hospitality of the staff, particularly Ruby and Heidi, left a lasting impression. Without reservation, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment

Hotel Strandhotel is set in the beautiful holiday village of Iseltwald, only 10 minutes by car from Interlaken, and enjoys an unique location right at the lake next to the boat pier.

The Views from the Hotel Strand were magnificant. Beautiful setting, nice and quiet with a cute little balcony to enjoy the lake views. The room was better then the pictures. Cozy with complimentary tea and coffee. The beds are firm like most of Europe which is what we like. The morning buffet was delicious with large variety. The staff was so kind and helpful. From here we explore Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, and Giessbach water fall. Definitely will be back to explore and hike in this area of Switzerland again. We were here beginning of May when all the spring wild flowers are in bloom.

Excellent location, beautiful view. Easy to pick up keys in a box. Well equipped kitchen, salt, pepper, oil and more. Welcome pasta to cook and coffee. Underfloor heating. Cowbells every morning instead of an alarm clock.

It is too far from Interlaken not having a view of the lake...
It is too far from Interlaken not having a view of the lake as pictures shown, it is located on the top of the mountain, it takes about 20 mn drive on an extremely narrow road to reach there.
Not a single supermarket or restaurant nearby, it is recommended for people seeking tranquility and peace, not for those who plan to visit other places every day.
a washing machine would be an advantage.
I liked that it has Fondue maker and all what's needed to prepare some homemade meals.

Very nice location, great view of the lake and excellent walks.
Be careful of the local drivers. In the 3 days we stayed at Axalp we were bullied by 4 very aggressive drivers on the mountain roads.
