Interlaken was the “cherry on top” of our European travels. The views were amazing (I’ve never seen 30+ paragliders in the sky…in the ALPs no less!!!), the area was so quaint, the locals friendly; and eating Swiss fondue somehow tastes better from the Alps! Highky recommend cappuccino and breakfast at the Aarburg (Tim & His Wife are awesome & The food not only tastes amazing but each dish is a work of art!) and the Boutique Hotel Bellevue.Guest review byRichardUnited States - 10.0

This is the dreamy wonderland, I love here so much. I visited Grindelwald 2 times in 2025, feeling super lucky about it. Its so natural and peaceful yet very touristic in a non disturbing way. There are many hills to explore, many things to do. But you should take into consideration that its very expensive. Wengen is an unbelievably charming town perched above the Lauterbrunnen valley, with incredible views of the valley and its waterfalls and the surrounding moutains. There are lovely hikes of varying degrees of difficulty that take you to great spots. And it is easy to access other attractions in the Jungfrau region. It is worth some research into the various transport passes. You definitely want some kind of pass if you are there for multiple days. My wife and I also visited Grindelwald for a day, and we enjoyed it. It is more built up, with more activities and probably more nightlife than Wengen. Wilderswil was a pleasant surprise. a quiet residential community a few kilometers from Interlaken, the area is quiet and friendly. A short bus ride to the main train station and into the city of Interlaken provides access to the rest of the area. t's a spacious apartment and was ideal for me, my wife and my 2 sons. The Kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfy and the bunk beds were perfect for my 13 & 9 year olds. The views from the windows are beautiful and there is a balcony as well that's very convenient. They have slip ons of various sizes as well as they request no shoes inside the apartment, a very nice touch. its very close to the bus stop which takes only 10 minutes to Interlaken Ost and run every half an hour. Unterseen and Interlaken have a lot to offer. We have spend majority of our time outdoors, enjoying nature. Bönigen is lovely as it’s quiet and peaceful but it’s very easy to get to Interlaken centre to do day trips in the area. There is plenty to do also right in Bonigen there are lots of water activities and trails. It’s beautiful the lake is stunning.
