United StatesOne of my favorite hotel stays ever. The hotel itself is gorgeous - out of a fairytale. The staff was amazing. The Salavaux/Vully area is so special. We rented a vespa from the hotel and drove around the countryside - and the hotel packed us a picnic lunch of cheese, ham, bread and wine. The staff helped us find the best wineries nearby. We had an incredible dinner at the hotel our first night. I couldn't say enough amazing things about our stay here.

SwitzerlandWe love this boutique hotel to pieces. It is not the first time we stayed here and it's definitely not gonna be the last. The staff is super-friendly and helpful. We had a big room overlooking the main pedestrian street. The room was clean, nicely decorated and quiet. The bed was very comfy. We appreciated the coffee and tea facilities in the room. We also appreciated a lot the bar on the ground floor that served very good beer and very good flammkuchen until relatively late. Parking is very easy to find if one follows the hotel instructions. We positively regretted that we only booked one night.

It's a very attractive little lakeside town with a medieval centre, including intact and walkable fortification wall, and lots of nice places to eat. It is well-connected transport-wise for visits to nearby attractions like the roman ruins in Avenches or the (really well-worth visiting) 12th century abbey in Payerne. Lake boats ply daily (in summer) to Neuchatel.
