SwitzerlandThe host was so kind already with a warm welcome. The rooms, toilets, shower, everywhere was clean. I enjoyed a lot the old furnitures in the building; the building itself is almost 900 years old. Also, I was very lucky to have a room with a lake view that I could get up with an amazing view from the bed. They have amazing terrasse in multiple layers - highest layer with tables and chairs for dining having a big tree in the middle (breakfast there with the lake view was just great), then they had nice chill lounge couches with parasol looks like a perfect place for apéro, middle layer for chilling with green grass, and the lowest layer with direct access to the lake where you can chill with the sun beds and parasols. It was so amazing! It felt like a hidden gem that we found like serendipity. Mind that they can host a very limited number of guests, so if you find it available, please don't miss this lucky chance! I loved that place also because I could feel that the hosts were putting their heart into their hotel. I will definintely come back!

European standards and Swiss specialties, something for everyone. The hotel location was excellent, we were able to access many beautiful hiking trails by foot.

The nicely designed and spacious rooms, former parts of a textile factory, are a great place to rest and to make a small walk to the breathtaking views of the Walensee, specially from.this side of the lake.
Taking a swim at the lake from the beach side, next to the camping, with the views of the more than 2.000 metres high mountains right in front of you, super steep, is an amazing experience.
The staff at the hotel was extra nice and made us feel great at the facilities.
The gym is also nice, which you can access from 8 am to 9 pm in the building in front, entrance D. We didn't take the breakfast because we had still a lot of stuff from our road trip, but it looked really good. I also.appreciated the Rituals soap and.shampoo that are supplied in the bathroom, nice touch. And there is also a shared terrace at the first floor, with all lofts, that we used to have dinner with our daughter and observe the mountains, great. In the lofts, both beds are comfortable and spacious, it was really relaxing to spend time at that loft with high ceilings, nice design and comfortable and big beds.
I would definitely stay here again if we plan a trip to the Swiss Alps.

This property was in an excellent location and perfect for a relaxing holiday. It’s a family owned business with a small staff; everyone was welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the Suite Terza which was beautiful and had a great view of the mountain. The restaurant had a small menu, but the food was good with a variety of wines. It was nice to have the restaurant after a long day on the slopes. Breakfast was available with few selections; for our family it was perfect.

We had a lovely one-night stay at this cozy property. The hospitality and food were fantastic, and the views of Obersee on the way to the restaurant were breathtaking. While the toilet was quite small, the bath area was manageable. The sunset and scenic ride views from the window were also a highlight. Highly recommend for a short, relaxing stay!

The hotel was a lovely place to stay during my short time in Flumserberg. It’s walking distance to the bus stop and to all of the amenities the town has to offer. The room was cozy and clean, the breakfast was very good, and the service was excellent. I also can’t recommend the spa enough.

A quaint village on the shores of Lake Walensee, under the impressive Churfirsten (mountain range). Can be busy and crowded on a warm summers day. Best time to visit would be early morning or early evening. If a keen hiker it's a wonderful mid-point stop or end point treat for a meal and a well deserved refreshment. Some lovely local products on sale. A small village but if you stop 'and smell the roses' you'll be rewarded with experiencing the energy that flows through the streets and vineyards.

Great base for exploring mountains, either within this resort or using neighbouring lifts. Tannenboden area also benefits from a lift down to the lake, which is great for a soak after a long day hiking! Tannenheim is more suited for extensive downhill mountain biking. Skiing the area would be great if you can handle black and red runs.

Amazing quiet little town on walensee.
Amazing quiet little town on walensee. Views are just wonderful. The views are what you would imagine Switzerland to look like: Blue lake, mountains, green fields with a wooden farm and a Swiss flag 🇨🇭
Summer tips:
-take a day on the boat (family tickets available) and explore the other little towns on the lake.
- Go up to flumserberg and enjoy the hikes, mountain biking and more
- enjoy the lake :)

Weesen is a scenic town on the one end of Walensee Lake.
Weesen is a scenic town on the one end of Walensee Lake. It has a lovely quaint calm atmosphere. There are playgrounds with beautiful views, boats to tour the area and a small town to wander through. It can get very busy on a hot summers day, so I would recommend an overnight stay where you can get to enjoy it's calmness once the crowds have left for the day. We had a picnic with take away pizza's one summer's evening and the town charmed us with her views and aura.

beautiful secluded area in the middle of Switzerland, that is 1 hour away from Zurich and 1 hour away from St. Gallen and Appenzel. in 10 min you are in Weesen at the shores of Weesensee (a beautiful and tranquil lake between two mountains (no wonder the area is call the fiord of Switzerland).
it is a great area for hiking, watersports, and just relaxation.

The location was just wonderful, perched high up with outstanding views, and access to the ancient castle. To get there, the satnav did not know of new roads! Dinner was good. Frankly, I expected more of the room: yes, it said shared wc and shower, but it was a bit basic for the price.

It’s a very cute small town with beautiful views and lake...
It’s a very cute small town with beautiful views and lake trails and benches, however not every train stops there so you always have to check the trains. Not much to do in the town, not even place to eat or have a beer but it’s a great location as a base for exploring the Wales’s lake area.
We enjoyed the piece and quiet and no tourists around.

We used this motel as we were going traveling through for one night. The rooms were very clean and make sure that you eat at their restaurant as it was superb as well as the great breakfast they provided for their guest. The rooms are a bit small, but it was great for a place to rest. I would stay there again.

I stayed just one night here, a tag-on from a weekend with a friend. The actual skiing was really good, with some lovely runs. Not a massive ski area, but more than enough for 2-3 days.
Only down side is that I didn't see many apres bars, but I wasn't really there long enough to explore.
Really easy resort to get to from Zurich Airport - the trains are good and you can easily get the gondola up from Unterterzen train station, making this a good option for a weekend break.
