The hotel/hostel is exceptionally well located, if you're travelling by bus, as it is pretty much next to the main bus terminal. The staff is really nice, there's a kitchen area and the wifi works well. They keep the place spotless, and also provide gas heating in the winter.

Hostal Felisa was a very cozy, typical southern-Chilean experience. If you're looking for a more traditional "hotel style" experience, perhaps this isn't for you, however if you're looking for something more warm and intimate and cozy, this is the place for you. Felisa (the owner) is very kind, and the breakfast service is lovely! The location is also quite good, located about 1 block from the bus terminal, 2 blocks from the riverfront, and about a 10-15 minute walk from the downtown heart of Valdivia.

I had a wonderful stay at Apartamento Rio Calle Calle. I especially enjoyed the balcony, where I could relax and watch the boats go by. The staff were also amiable and helpful. The hotel is in an ideal location, very near the centre, but overlooking a quiet stretch of the river. We had a lovely big, comfortable room and were so lucky to have a front-facing corner room - 318- from which we could look out over the river on two sides. This was particularly lovely as we arrived on a festival weekend and could watch the light show from our room! The staff were helpful and breakfast was ample and very good. The was car parking on site.

If you want to travel in style but still on a budget, this is for you. It is beautiful, old style both on the outside, in the common room, and inside the spacious room. The internet is decent, the beds are comfortable, breakfast is quite decent, and the location is great.
