The location, staff, room and overall comfort. We reached the hotel very early because of our flight. But the hotel staff very helpful and went out of the way to help and make the whole family comfortable. They provided early check in and made sure the room was comfortable for us. They really work 24/7, anytime we needed help, they were available, answered all our questions, and genuinely helped. The room was nice and neat, not too small, and everything we needed was provided (water, laundry, snacks), beds and bedding were nice, everything worked, it wasn't too noisy. They offered breakfast, which was on point, so we could eat and then go sightseeing (nothing extraordinary, toast, fruits, some local food, but I liked it). The staff was very friendly and spoke good English, so we were able to clarify things and understand the city better. We also took the Mutianyu trip provided by Happy Dragon, which turned out to be a great decision. It was a very nice stay and I really appreciate that you guys made our trip better. Big thanksss

I travel a lot and have stayed in many nice hotels. But my first time writing a review. I love this hotel very much. Very elegant, luxuries and classic environment which gives you feeling of like staying at Castle. Comfortable bed and pillow. Various choices and nice breakfast. Stuff are very helpful and friendly.     I would love to have stayed longer.

    I would love to have stayed longer. Beijing has lots to see and I would recommend staying at least 4 nights not to feel rushed. Definitely do your research before going and book trips to avoid disappointment of not being able to visit places. Remember it can get very busy so just go with the flow. The subway is easy to use but if you’re not sure, just ask. There are people who will help and use translator to help with communication.

    A modern city and yet the pace is not as hurried as others. Clean, pretty and convenient to move around. Nice museums (Art, History, Natural History) and an impressive public library next to the museum, in addition to the historic districts that many tourist agencies rave about.

    We came here specifically to see The Great Wall that ends in the ocean. First time my husband visited it ended in the ocean. There was no beach. The original wall is now encased as it is very deteriorated. An interesting site for sure.

    It's best for the great wall.

    It's best for the great wall. I recommend going to simatai for the sunset, jinshanling for the awe inspiring views and panlong for the untamed wild serenity. To get to panlong, you need to didi or get a car to the bottom, then pay 25rmb to get in. Once at the top, turn right (east). You have to come back the way you came(apparently there is another way down but we couldn't find it). Wear sensible shoes. Miyun isn't easy to get around. Factor in the price of hiring a car into your trip.

    Bejing is a great city to visit, but one has to do some home work before jetting off to Bejing. The western countries applications like Google Maps, Uber do not work in Bejing, therfore one has to be sure to have some Chinese Apps installed on your phones before coming to Bejing. Apps like Ali Pay, Wee Chat, the Chinese Version of Google Maps called Amap, it is a must. One has to have a Global esim if possible and be able to download all of these apps in order to move around in Bejing easily. Otherwise moving around will be a struggle. All in all great city to visit.

    The ability of the receptionist to communicate to me in English was very professional. The Chef was very very friendly knowing that i was of African decent, he made me feel at home by taking me round and giving me insight of every single food served. All this was on the 31st December evening. He became my family on the night.

    Tianjin is very underrated, and at just 30 minutes from Beijing I think it should be more popular. The river, the foreign concessions, and the modern buildings inspired by them, make the city feel very European, and we love wandering around the foreign concessions and the streets of the Wudadao area, getting coffee in the many different cafes. There's also Ancient Culture Street, which isn't ancient but has plenty of culture, the China House which is amazing to see from the outside (haven't been inside yet), the Confucius Temple, the Tianjin Eye, walks along the riverbank... lots to see and do here!

    I only saw the area around the Sheraton hotel.

    I only saw the area around the Sheraton hotel. I would love to come back in the summer. There is a wonderful Olympic Park, many quaint restaurants, a brilliant night market and lovely treed streets to walk around and admire a different style of China.

    People were extremally friendly and helpful.

    People were extremally friendly and helpful. Not everyone spoke English but enough people could or use your translation app. Felt very safe walking along the alleys late at night. We could rent a taxi inexpensively to take us to the Great Wall and waited until we were done, which was probably the highlight of the stay. Wanted to see the Forbidden City and Tienemen Square but our stay was too brief and Forbidden City is closed on Mondays.
