Everything went well! This was our first time staying at Sonesta and it surprised us. Breakfast was great, sometimes the area was full but it was the Holy Week so the hotel was full, anyway the attention was great and it improve the experience. The rooms are very comfortable, we got two rooms one double and one queen, beds were so comfortable we could really rest and enjoy these days off. We had lunch at the hotel restaurant, I was very curious and once I heard it wasn't great but in fact it was delicious. If you stay here enjoy the facilities.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Bucaramanga. The location is unbeatable—everything you need is just steps away, including banks, pharmacies, clinics, shopping stores, and a great variety of restaurants. It made getting around the city incredibly convenient. The customer service was excellent, with staff who were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. I especially appreciated the cleanliness of the entire facility, which made the stay feel comfortable and safe. Speaking of safety, the secure entry system added an extra layer of peace of mind. One of the highlights was the breakfast—delicious, varied, and well-prepared, a perfect way to start the day.

The property is absolutely stunning, with great views over Barichara, and a beautiful garden with a large swimming pool and outdoor jacuzzi. The room is fully equipped with AC, fan, fast Wi-Fi, a separate office space with a desk and even a walk-in closet perfect for long stays. The location is great, in a very cute street and close to all the sites to visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious.

I loved the hotel atmosphere; lots of greenery, plants and animal statues (especially the lion). It is very cozy and comfortable. The staff (waiters, housekeeping, maintenance, front desk) was always so accomodating and very kind from day one. My spa bath room was very comfortable with lots of lighting. The tub was large and very nice. The breakfast bar was wonderful with an assortment of fruits, bread and eggs. There are two bars; near the pool (assortment of beers & other non alcoholic beverages) which made it very convienient while at the pool. The bartender was very attentive. The bar inside the restaurant makes a very tasty lychee martini. The restaurant food is amazing. I don't eat meat so my seafood (salmon & shrimp tempura salad) was amazing. Although my second tempura salad was not as tasty, I was offered another one. However, I had eaten all of the first one not to be wasteful, so my waiter brought me a delicous brownie with a cream sauce and a cup of hot coffee. The tears built up inside of me as he walked away and I began to cry just from his act of kindness. I have been in Colombia for over a year and that is my first time experiencing this. The repairs to the elevators and the wifi was the only reason my stay here was cut short due to my work demands. The staff, food and atmosphere is the reason for the excellent score. I would definitely return.

The mall El Puente is unique because mixed the clasic arquitecture from the city and functional layout with the main hill Holly Croix. Barichara is a place to visit from san Gil. Little Town that remember us Macondo.

Great and authentic colonial village.

Great and authentic colonial village. Ideal to walk through the streets and browse the different shops. has lots of amenities for tourists, such as electric tuc-tucs for those who don't want to walk the steep streets, but is a lively and living rural Colombian village and you get in touch with locals easily. Arts museum is wonderful, the camino real was too wet for me to walk it all the way.

Beautiful old town with a couple of nice parks. The adjacent areas of Giron have everything you need in terms of shopping amenities. The people were very warm and friendly. English speaking people are still a bit of a novelty. Not really a lot to do in Giron, so two nights was ample time.

Bucaramanga and, in particular, Ruitoque, is a fantastic place! The location, the vegetation, the new developments, and the great clinics and medical centers make it an extremely great place to retire. But there is little respect for seniors. Shopping centers and restaurants have extremely noisy environments. We visited several good friends in their homes and had a wonderful time with them. But the public places we visited were torturous due to the extremely loud environments.

San Gil was a really enjoyable town despite not doing adventure tours. We loved the park for the birds and red squirrels. The town square was interesting to sit, with good restaurants and bars nearby. we also took a bus to Barichara which was really lovely

It's a very nice and safe colonial town in a very pretty...

It's a very nice and safe colonial town in a very pretty area to be in. There are plenty of activities to do in the area and something for everyone. The food is good here but that's all of south America. Goat cheese and coffee seem to be the big items in this area. You can take a nice nature walk called the camino real to a smaller version of barichara called guane. The trail that town is mostly down hill, and you can shorten the walk even more by taking a taxi to a place out of town where the trail crosses the road. The views are very good and the birds and butterflies are everywhere. A bus leaves guane every 45 minutes back.to barichara. Plenty of adventure tours and more cultural tours like food, and coffee tours. Nice place to be in colombia.

San Gil is very turistic and influenced by that.

San Gil is very turistic and influenced by that. Excellent opportunities for recreation and extreme sports, but the horrid traffic can impact travel. The main route from Bogota' to Bucaramanga goes right through it and can really congest the streets. These are old "horse" cart roads in town and the traffic can be "impressive" and difficult to manage. Quaint charm with amenities, a commercial mall and plenty of food and drink around the central park.

My favourite town in Colombia, I was supposed to stay 2 nights but added 2 more and could have stayed longer as well. The town is beautiful, people are very nice and welcoming, many amazing restaurants with veggie options as well, and plenty activities to do in the surrounding area.
